Not from Chicago area but hung out with Jay twice. Once before their apperence on Letterman for when they played outta mind and once at his solo show in Boston at TT the bears. He was very nice and friendly and I talked to him for about 10 minutes. He was really kind and appreciative show was good too!

Ok for a little I got to stand up for Jovi. Yes he writes tons of pedestrian songs. He has a few I like Runaway, Etc however in terms of a person he is a real stand up guy. He has done so much for the local community here. He has opened up several pay what you want restaurants for the poor in the community. He has also donated playgrounds, tons of money and volunteered all over the state. For that I am happy he is getting recognized still musically he should not be in over Radiohead and Depeche thought!
