Sounds like a pretty cool bill, Lou! Where was that? I'm curious to know where Jeff heard Love Like A Wire since it doesn't appear that Izzo ever released a recording of it anywhere (it's not on her one solo record). I'm guessing maybe it was a demo of hers he heard at some point in the late 90s Chicago scene, but I'd be interested to know.

Man, sorry to hear that the show wasn't too well-attended. And that the crowd was a bit subdued. I felt the same at the State in Portland on Sunday night — I heard there were only two guys who stood during California Stars — but maybe that's just the vibe of these shows to a certain extent. I was just kidding...haha. I'll never give this up! (Just like tonight's show will go on forever...;-)) But nice work on being quick and accurate! I take your point about the show, but I guess they've set the bar pretty high for themselves. Just wanted to remind people that it's their second show back in a year. They got to rehearse a little bit, I'm sure, but every show they do will probably get a little better (at least as far as the playing goes and hopefully the setlists will follow).

Don't really have a tremendous amount to add, but I'll "sign off" on the accuracy of the setlist posted above by jcap1767. The band played exactly what was on the printed setlist with the exception of The Lonely 1, which was listed as the show closer but got cut. The crew was actually bringing out the necessary guitars/implements for that one, but Jeff waved them off. It would've been an interesting choice to end the show, to be sure. Glad I could be of service! I fully encourage note-taking at shows...just try and do it discreetly, so you don't get "busted" by those on stage. Other tips: Always bring a backup pen, if possible. And in a pinch, a good napkin can fill in when you don't have usable paper (that's actually what I used to jot down the Watkins setlist, mostly).

I was gonna ask if anyone else made it to this show! It was a lot of fun and definitely captured the collaborative, freewheeling vibe of Largo (in LA where they usually do the Watkins Family Hour shows). Of course, with so much talent in that small theater, it was like the WFH on steroids! I can probably come up with the setlist, or pretty close — not sure of the titles of the instrumentals Sara and Sean played, for instance — if anyone's interested.
