  3. agreed. it doesn't fit with the album, imo. i loved the artwork for "okemah" sucks my shirt with it on it shrunk though...
  4. "when our mouths are filled with uninvited tounges of others"... i really think this is my favorite line in the whole record. it's great! was really cool to drive in to school today listening to this with just a slight fog in the air...
  5. bunches of words and bunches of notes!
  6. what a great idea... i just wish i was in chicago to help out! a very good cause too, because school is freakin' expensive!
  7. I enjoy LNGCA for dancing in my room, but I don't know if it really fit with the record. It'll be neat to see it live though. "Leave Me (Like You Found Me) is an amazing song.

A live DVD would be awesome. Crying isn't crazy at all. Both times I have seen them play it I have cried. It means a lot to me too (partly why I started the thread). The first time I saw Wilco they played it, and I was freaking out, yelling the words and when the guitar loudness started I lost it and pretty much started sobbing. After the show, when I was standing around talking to Jeff I told him how it made me cry(and why), and he was like, "Awe, it's okay." and gave me this big hug. It was a very cool moment.

true. yeah, i think it's probably my number 2 favorite wilco song ever. just because it's been there when i have been so upset i couldn't see straight... wilco's music does that. i'm digging your godzilla, dsc.
  12. "Leave Me (like you found me)" is my new auto-biographical song. Good grief.

yeah, it's technically not ver sophistacted, but the emotion it evokes is so real and so raw... i'm totally going to write one of my theory analysis papers about this song.

  20. best post i've read today. me and my dad watch this show. it's great!
  21. glenn is awesome. when i used to be in the front ensamble in band i used to bore the other people in the ensamble with trying to explain how glenn had cotales and vibes in his set up. they weren't as impressed as me... oh well. it'd be cool to see him play.
  22. i was shocked when i went in the store yesterday and i saw them in the #4 spot (apparently fye's list is different). made me happy. OT- whenever wilco puts a new record out, i take it upon myself to move the actual #1 record and put the wilco record in it's place....
  23. listened to the second half of the disc in the car on the way to school this morning. i think my love affiar with mr. young's music has been reawakened.
