I finally got in and got two tix for Vancouver. I thought the site was going to bomb on me a couple of times. To be honest, even with the confirmation email, I'm sort of sketched out.

So, instead of having a system that's capable of handling load, they direct the load away from their actual ticket server with this waiting room page... real pro set-up. I never thought I'd say this, but I miss Ticketmaster.

There's no way it should cost $16 to ship one record to Canada via regular USPS service. Also, a fixie without toe clips?

Hey Via Chicago... long time, no see. Before the show, I was of the mind that I would have rather shelled out some cash to see Wilco with Wilco fans, but for a group of people that were probably mostly there just to be there, the crowd was wonderful and the atmosphere was great.

so... what do you all think? my brief summation is: awesome, as usual.

He played guitar on a song that he wasn't singing here (which I, of course, can't remember now)... for non-Destroyer obsessives I'm sure that doesn't sound impressive, but as people have alluded to, usually he only plays beer.

I've seen Pearl Jam in a few (relatively) small places, but the only shows that come to mind that were sort of historically important are Sleater-Kinney's last two shows.
