  1. I made this little guy a few months ago but it is now starting to come into relevance. i also made a primitive burlap pumpkin two weekends ago.
  2. thats awesome! i dont know if i knew that...
  3. yes you are. that was quite the dining experience. i like when jasmine accidentally spilled the contents of her purse in the middle of the crosswalk, as well. thanks for that photo reminder, sam. now i am horribly embarrassed all over again!
  4. i don't know what i will be but my sister and her boyfriend are going as younger pete and artie, the strongest man... in the world.
  5. yes, that was quite a fabulous weekend!
  6. ooooh, i wish he would come do this in chicago. dear john is one of my faves.
  7. that was a really great show. btw, it was taped for a wxrt sunday night concert so, at some point, a professionalish mix will be around (but i'm guessing minus a couple songs). on another note: dear B.O. king of the universe standing next to me, please make your self known (but do not raise your hand) so that i may mail you a lifetime supply of Degree. that was the most offensive stench i have experienced in quite some time. thanks.
  8. how is this possible when mini KISS is scheduled for that day? is there more than one theater/stage?
  9. i have an autumn mix that I've listened to about 800 times since i made it 3 years ago. anything death cab - i don't mind the weather, ive got scarves and caps and sweaters anything handsome family makes me think of the weather turning hem- half acre pedro the lion- the longest winter mates of state- what i could stand for? i think thats what its called, the one on my solo project about autumn jeff/jay/wilco/whatever- venus stopped the train rem- nightswimming
  10. weird, i thought catfish haven were kind of boring. i need to give them another shot, i suppose
  11. i'm putting it on my christmas list.
  12. i'm echoing heroin and transatlanticism, they're my faves. and american pie.
  13. i haven't given up! im just frustrated, is all wages havent budged in 10 years but real estate is through the freaking roof... it just seems so much more daunting, is all!
  14. i dont think i knew about it. i will put it on my amazon wishlist and maybe ill get it for my birthday...
  15. i think its sad and scary. when my parents were poor and young they saved up for a down payment on a house in a year and were fine. kris and i work good jobs and i cant imagine even being able to do that in 5 years. it seems like the things that were atainable even 10 or 20 years ago are so much harder for families today. the country is very obviously slipping... what is there to do?
  16. i've had my ipod a year and a half and it completely broke a few months ago. i didnt even use it all that much and certainly didn't abuse it. one day it just started showing "crash" symptoms- going slow, not responding, etc and then i turned it on and it had a sad mac face. kris restored it to factory settings and then it happened again a week later. then i tried restoring it again, and it wouldnt even restore. now it wont even show the sad mac even though its fully charged. i have yet to take it to apple, i am hoping they will see its a lost cause and replace it with a shiny new video
  17. hmm, how about the next time you have a thousand bucks to blow mail it to me and i will invest it in my own personal mutual fund.
  18. thats kind of an awesome idea. that guy was incredibly creepy.
  19. today was such a beautiful, cool day here in chicago... i even saw a few trees turning! i know we've got 3 weeks until the equinox but i can't wait. ah, kris and i will be spending a looong weekend in maine this october... and in september, the great pumpkin patch! (btw- any good hikes or other fun things to do in south central IL?) anyone else preparing for the season?
  20. weird, thats where i went to school and how i know them. nate, johnny and i were all in the same dorm.
