HMD- Alternative Lyrics

Recommended Posts

I believe that the lyrics to the alternative verse are:

"she lifted up her shirt at the battle of the bands

he twirled his sticks she helped him to the van

she fell in love with the drummer..."

I like that verse alot

Most of the versions I've heard with that go

"She lifted up her shirt

At the battle of the bands

He twirled his sticks

and She helped him to his van..."

Closest one yet, the only that I can add to it is bolded. Although, that's purely from memory.

I thought it was "She hopped into his van" ...

I'm pretty sure it's not that

It's very possible that Jeff may not do this exactly the same every time, but I've never heard a version different than ther one Mr. Heartbreak posted.

last time i saw them jeff looked at glenn on the 'he twirled his stick' line and glenn shook his head...i guess glenn doesn't do heavy metal theatrics.

It was a running joke at the west coast solo shows (well, "solo" except for when Glenn and Nels joined him). Glenn would give them a twirl when Tweedy wasn't looking.

Didn't that happen at the Summerfest show, Teeg? I think I remember something like that.
