What ten albums are the ones you think of when you think of the top 10 albums of all time? Don't intellectualize this list. Just write the first ten albums you think of and keep them in that order. No edits, no changies, no nothing. Go.

Of course, it will change in the next 10 minutes, but those were the first ten I thought of, and thats how this list will work.

Paul's Boutique

The White Album

Sign O The Times

London Calling

Exile On Main Street

those are definitely the top five.

then it gets a little muddy.

I saw the video for the Timberlake video the other day and nearly barfed. Not at the video per se (which was terrible), but at the absolutely horrendous quality of the song itself. Just awful.

As usual I know few of these songs anyway, but Snow Patrol has certainly lost its indie cred I guess.

Whoa, that's cool that you think that highly of those two albums. I'm curious as to why. I'm not being down about it at all. I just think that's some cool choices.

I'm probably one of the only people in the world that considers Sharp a better songwriter then Cuomo. But anyways, Seven More Minutes is epic. It's a celebration. Matt really emerged as a songwriter on it. It's so diverse. I love how there can be songs as different as "Big Daddy C" and "She Says It's Alright" on the same album but it still feels like one piece of artwork. I could probably talk all day about why "Overlee" and "My Head Is In The Sun" are masterpieces. As for his solo album... it really pisses me off that no one was really into it. I don't think people gave it enough attention, they just listened to it once and thought it was too slow, but if you take the time and listen to it carefully, there's some really beautiful melodies and lyrics on it.

I worry about you, just wanted to let you know that someone out here cares. :unsure

I'm touched. I worry about myself....

No, in all seriousness, reading through these awesome lists makes me realize that I'm missing out on great music and that people here have superb taste in music. For now--in January it will be two years--I can't help the fact that all my musical desires and tastes are satiated with just a few JT-related bands.

:D
