This has probably been beaten to death but im curious

"Wait Up", "Black Eye" and "Fatal Wound" off March 16-20 1992, and every one of his songs on Anodyne are all great in my opinion

for sure wait up and fatal wound are my favorite tweedy songs, gorgeous songs. If you wanna hear him rock uncle tupelo style, go with D.Boon or Nothing

"Black Eye" is devastating. Still probably the most haunting and complex song Tweedy's ever written. "Fatal Wound" and "Wait Up" seem to hog all the praise from that record, but they aren't even fit to touch the hem, in my opinion...

I also like "Acuff-Rose," which is pretty much a classic by now, right? "Gun" is kinda where Jeff opened it all up to pop music and imagistic lyrics, so it's a pretty important (and awesome) song. "New Madrid" is always a blast to sing along with.

No one has mentioned Watch Me Fall? My theme song...

Also Satan (sort of theme song). :devil

I Wish My Baby Was Born

No Sense of Lovin and Wherever...

Shit, all of them, listen all the way through. Jay's songs aren't so bad either. :thumbup

Anything off of Loose Fur's debut is fantastic.

For Uncle Tupelo, I like:

That Year

Screen Door

New Madrid

Wait Up

Any of the covers he sings on March

Gun

And many more that I need to name, but I have to go right now.
