WilcoOfTheDay
Such a great show. Passenger Side was great, and I particularly liked Jeff's VW comment. What did he say about VW?
chooch
What did he say about VW? He thanked Volkswagon for the budget to get the Owl.....very funny
Sir Stewart
Don't forget - Boston wins the Tempo Award.

MeDave
jeff was pretty funny all show - he started out by saying: "i'm not going to talk at all tonight as we want to get in as much riffage as possible before curfew so don't be upset,ok? cause i'm not going to talk tonight. starting right after i tell this story....." and then proceeded to banter as much as i've heard from him at a boston show. they were clearly having fun - glenn was on fire! (what else is new) - the sound was great from where we were. Definitley the top boston wilco show i've seen since the 97 tour, just great high energy and a nice pace to the setlist. nice seeing everyone afterwards as well! Maddie Hope
So kool... Passenger Side and always happy when they play Cali Stars...I love singing along to PS, just a funny rock song like Kingpin... I'm already having withdrawls, come back south boys (sorry I'm just to big of a fan, can't get enough)
awatt
I am also still getting chills Reading this thread is reminding me of Atlanta and Charlotte, and now I'm getting chills!!! Sounds like yet another great show. The Globe review nailed it.

chooch
I was just strapping my surfboard to the roof of my car and was laughing out loud about Glenn standing with his sticks above his head in killer rock star pose during the intro ITMWLY. Killer version by the way. A neighbor caught me laughing, but he just wouldn't understand.
wayno127233
A show about every 2-3 months would work ...screw that...I miss them when they are gone...I need to become a roadie...I'm starting to feel like a lovesick teenager...

Edie
Here is the review from the Boston Globe: MUSIC REVIEWAdventuresome Wilco keeps soaring, pushing the envelopeBy Joan Anderman, Globe Staff | June 29, 2007 ..... Nice review. I love the term "freshly considered". It is dead-on and what keeps me and (most of us, I'll wager) coming back for more.
Johnny Meltone
During the show in Boston someone handed me a stick-on badge, "Wilco 07 Aftershow" with the SBS artwork on it. Did anyone else get one of these? What the hell is it? Did I miss something cool? Should I quit drinking?
Hummingbird
That's funny!!! I saw Glenn do that at Merriweather and Redbank....and after the show at Redbank I asked him about it and said it was awesome and he said it was in tribute to someone that I had never heard of...a drummer obviously...but the name went way over my head. He said he didn' t think many people would get it...probably said that because of the look on my face. I was just strapping my surfboard to the roof of my car and was laughing out loud about Glenn standing with his sticks above his head in killer rock star pose during the intro ITMWLY. Killer version by the way. A neighbor caught me laughing, but he just wouldn't understand.

bböp
I was told it's Todd Trainer of Shellac: Thanks for finding that picture, Heids. Glenn said he started doing the tribute after seeing Shellac play at the All Tomorrow's Parties festival in May. ATP was the first stop on Wilco's first European tour this year. ms. yvon
Oh my god, I got to meet Sir Stewart!!! i'm afraid that was all a dream, gogo. a beautiful dream. in the notes i was taking during the show i wrote: AHHHHHHH!!!!! as the band took the first break. i do believe that having a spot on the aisle to dance is the new sweet spot for me & teh wilco. i get to flail around and no one gets hurt. Sir Stewart
i do believe that having a spot on the aisle to dance is the new sweet spot for me & teh wilco. i get to flail around and no one gets hurt. I was lucky enough to score an aisle seat! And nobody ever showed up for the seat next to me!It was wild to meet a slew of VC All-Stars. Maudie - I was actually thinking 'this is the woman who sent me the FNL discs!' but I couldn't get the words out! Kinda surreal.... Hi Brianne & bbop! Always good to see MeDave. Thanks again ms yvon. Preferred B
Maudie's like the FNL fairy. It was nice to meet you, too, Sir S!
gogo
VC All-StarsI'm going to suggest this in the cafepress thread! It's always so weird to meet people in "real life". I think my favorite part of the night was when Dave was doing the mental calculations required to combine several different people in his head into "Peter", the guy standing right there. MeDave
I think my favorite part of the night was when Dave was doing the mental calculations required to combine several different people in his head into "Peter", the guy standing right there. its true - up unitl that moment i had a mental image of sir stewart as one guy, pedro from the scamperboard as another and the guy i met last year at the middle east as yet another. then in one instant all merged - like a bunch of small anime robots forming a mega-robot - into peter standing before me.
