Yeah, my roommate's a die hard dolphins fan (even more so than I am) so he was hating on him, but I also couldn't help but admire it. They are a seriously entertaining team to watch. Nothing quite like seeing football executed completely perfectly. Belichek's got it made in his post game conferences. When the worst thing you can say is "our second team defense gave up a touchdown", you're doing your job right.

Unbelievably, after last year's regular season joke of a defense, Indy has been playing really well on D. This will be the real acid test for them. NE's offense is just sick right now. I don't know if the '85 Bears could stop these guys.

Well, the past few years, I remember the buzz around the league being the Colts' defense for the first 5 weeks or so, so let's see if this holds up. I'd like to see them beat the Pats as I don't really like them, but I don't see it. But, in the immortal words of Dennis Green, "You want to crown them, go ahead and crown their asses."

I agree with the above statements about the Pats. They are amazing to watch. Perfection. Execution. All flawless. Having said that, I really disliked the Pats for many years for a myriad of reasons.

But this year -- they bring the best football to the table I have ever seen. Ever.

I cannot wait to watch this game. Does anyone know the spread? I know the Colts are underdogs at home, which is unreal.

Colts are 4.5-6 point dogs depending on where you bet.

First time the Colts have been underdog at home under Dungy.

Might also be the first time a Superbowl Champ has ever been a home dog the following season (not sure on this one).

I'm a tad bit disappointed, but that was a really good game. I felt early on when Indy was in the red zone 3 times and only came away with 2 FGs that it would come back to haunt them and it certainly did.

Patriots complain about crowd noise

By Jason Cole

Monday, Nov 5, 2007 12:13 pm EST

The NFL is looking into allegations that the Indianapolis Colts piped in noise during the game Sunday between the Colts and the Patriots. The charge comes after Patriots President Jonathan Kraft became the latest NFL team executive to accuse the Colts of the distracting tactic that is against the rules.

"We're aware of it and we're looking into it," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Monday. "It may just be the TV feed from CBS, but we're checking it out."

Observers at the game said there seemed to be a "skip" in the sound during the game Sunday, which the Patriots won 24-20. That might confirm the long-held suspicion among many people in the NFL that the Colts play loud crowd noise to help distract opponents when the other team is on offense.

"We're aware of the accusations, but there has never been anything to substantiate it," Aiello said.

A Patriots spokesman said Monday the team plans no formal protest to the league.

Kraft approached NFL Vice President of Security Milt Ahlerich after Kraft and his parents, Patriots owners Bob and Myra Kraft, left the Patriots locker room after the game.

Kraft was angry as he told Ahlerich the league needed to look into the allegation. Ahlerich is the same person who confiscated a videotape made by the Patriots during a game against the New York Jets in Week 2 that led to the Spygate controversy.

In addition, New England quarterback Tom Brady also commented on how loud it was in the RCA Dome.

"I don't know how you measure levels of being deaf, but we couldn't hear anything out there," Brady said.

This is the latest in a string of incidents between the teams that have fueled the growing Colts-Pats rivalry. In the past, Colts General Manager Bill Polian has vehemently argued that the Patriots have bent the rules in terms of use of replay challenges and the pass interference rule.

What a time for Boston for sports. Just won the WS and now Pats going undefeated so far and looking very good.

I was thinking this in the shower this morning. Don't forget about the re-vamped Celtics, either. Could be a huge year for Boston sports (more so than it already is).
