Recommended Posts

If I had been here an hour earlier, I would have name-checked both of these. I'm relly liking the Reunion Tour and waiting anxiously for Magic (not crazy about title)

new Weakerthans coming out soon, it's leaked but I haven't heard the whole thing yet. I've heard some songs, and I'm very excited :thumbup

i like it, their us label is streaming it on their site and it can be purchased on iTunes. i did realize that the riff is completely cribbed from 'undercover of the night', but i don't really care.

Haha - yeah, they mentioned that on the radio, can definitely hear it. I think the thing is, it actually sounds different now!

lots of good stuff coming out, besides another underwhelming Cult cd.

I can testify to the new Sadies, yeah, it's good, lots of Clarence white style guitar and folk rock tales, and Gary Louris produced, and you can definitly hear his influence thru out.

and look you can stream it here

There's plenty of stuff coming out to be excited about--

Here's a few I jotted down a few days ago.

9/11--Oakley Hall, Animal Collective

9/18--Akron/Family

9/25--Iron & Wine, Bettye Lavette

10/2--Sunset Rubdown

10/9--Band of Horses, Beirut, Cass McCombs

The new Phosphorescent comes out in October, too.

And I always find if there's nothing new coming out I'm excited about, then it's a perfect time to explore and stock up on older records I missed.

Good to see the Vic love. Thanks for the heads-up.

:cheers

Definitely an under-appreciated songwriter. I love just about everything he's done barring a few exceptions. This is high up the list of anticipated releases for me :).

of course, some (ok maybe all) of these have already leaked, but...

go! team - proof of youth

kevin drew - spirit if...

stars - in our bedroom after the war

The first two there, have definitely leaked and are pretty good(I think I've only listened to each once). I love the Stars album, but I thought it was already released?

EDIT: And the Sigur Ros releases!!!!! November 6.

Have you seen the trailer for the DVD? It looks absolutely incredible. I am really excited to hear/see new material from them.
