Sweet Papa Crimbo
I voted...but this is a fundamentally flawed question. The Beatles CREATED the modern rock band. It is impossible to conceive our world (musically) today without them.
LouieB
The question is just too hard..I can't vote.... LouieB

That's an entirely different thing.
El Picador
No, but their in my top 10.
Mr. Kinsley
I think they're the best, but not my favorite. Kind of like how back in the 80's watching the Lakers, Magic was obviously the best, but Kurt Rambis was my favorite. He looked like such a goof and played on pure enthusiasm instead of raw talent. You couldn't help but love the guy in the horn-rimmed glasses!
OOO
I think they're the best, but not my favorite. This is my answer, but I voted yes anyways, because it changes all the time.
Sir Stewart
I hated that nerd, from my Celtics painter's cap to the tips of my green Chucks.
cryptique
My favorite-band-of-the-moment changes all the time, but the Beatles are consistently in the top three, and frequently # 1. Therefore, even though they're frequently (temporarily) displaced, yes, they're my favorite band ever.
Guest Left Arm Tan
i voted no because they simply are not my favorite band ever. once were, and will always be regarded very highly, but not my favorite. however, Dig A Pony will always be one of my favorite songs. Therefore, even though they're frequently (temporarily) displaced, yes, they're my favorite band ever. Other favorites of mine over the years have been tull, zep, moody blues, stones, dead, u2 and now wilco. What constitues a favorite for me is I collect most everything of their catalog and listen to it basically non-stop for an extended period of time. The difference with the Beatles is that they are the band that I have ALWAYS had most (if not all) of their stuff on hand, and listen to it periodically non-stop. I bought Beatles CDs the week they went on sale.
Synthesizer Patel
I think it's obvious by now, isn't it? I don't know. I reckon you've been spinning us all a line about what you think for some time now. This was your chance to finally own up and tell the truth, but you couldn't just go ahead and do it! Could you? P.S Where is the "They are good, but not better than Tha Band" option?

bjorn_skurj
I bought Beatles CDs the week they went on sale. And, GD-it, I'm going to do it again when the remastered versions come out. Because the Beatles are now, and always been, my favorite band.

Gobias Industries
Probably, yes. It periodically varies between Beatles and Wilco, it depends on the mood. But if the question asked about the best band, it would HANDS DOWN be the Beatles. None can ever, ever, come anywhere close.
Atticus
when I was little, one of the requirements for my babysitters was that he or she would be willing to pretend to play instruments with me along to the beatles red greatest hits record I had. My love for them has never waned since. I'd say I'm more obsessive over wilco in recent years, but no one will ever take the place of the beatles.
