Mystik Spiral
8. All the Old Show Stoppers - The New PornographersDamn, damn, damn. Is there a better album out this year? Is there a better song on the album? I'll fight you if you want. Actually, I think the first 4 tracks on Challengers come about as close to perfection as anything this year. Or ever, for that matter...
El Picador
Actually, I think the first 4 tracks on Challengers come about as close to perfection as anything this year. Or ever, for that matter... This almost made the cut for my top 10 as well. Choosing 10 songs is hard.
Mystik Spiral
While we're on the subject, Adventures In Solitude is an exceptional song as well. No suprise Challengers is #4 on my best of albums list...
MattZ
Actually, I think the first 4 tracks on Challengers come about as close to perfection as anything this year. Or ever, for that matter... I agree. And then, The Spirit of Giving is going to make my top ten.And yet, I was slightly disappointed with Challengers.

tongue-tied
bump. i completed my mix awhile ago, but it's seemingly impossible to upload it wirelessy where i am. but thankfully this has allowed me to notice two tracks that were poorly imported to iTunes and sound warbly. when i get a wired connection i will post my hopefully nonwarbly sounding mix. I've purchased her new CD a few days ago (directly from her), so it's too soon for me to put a song in my 2007 comp, but I sure love it. Her previous album was my fave of 2005 already! Dr. Steve Brule
Can't believe it! A Rachel Ries fan! You're my friend forever. I've purchased her new CD a few days ago (directly from her), so it's too soon for me to put a song in my 2007 comp, but I sure love it. Her previous album was my fave of 2005 already! She works at the coffee shop down the street from the record store I work at, once in a blue moon when she isn't touring. She is one person that just makes everything better when she is around, plus she put out the new one on vinyl, which includes the CD.
