lizish
It's taken me a while to appreciate just how good the above is. 'You've been driving on the rumble strip for 2 hours nowSometimes I think you've lost your careYour eyes are open, your foot's on the gasBut you are not there' I'm gonna hold ya 'til Manitoba I'm gonna hold ya until Wheat CityThen Brandon can take your hand' I believe the song is about a transexual love triangle, with truckers... explodo
Anyone willing to share his copy of the Mountain Goats? I second this request. Good cover art on that one, too.
Mystik Spiral
I would also not mind hearing the Mountain Goats.

Oil Can Boyd
What do you think? It's not the Feelies but I like it more than any of the Wake Ooloo records.
Welsh Rich
I was impressed with that Mountain Goats album as well... a nice surprise.
augurus
Has been playing in the car nonstop for three days. Don't know why. Better get some variety in there for the new year.
myboyblue
What do you think? It's not the Feelies but I like it more than any of the Wake Ooloo records. I really like it. I was a big Feelies fan and this brings back some of the warm fuzzies for me. The Wake Ooloo records were nice but never blew me away. "Wheels in Motion" blows me away a bit. solace
Sons & Daughters - This Gift This is really rather good... so far i don't like it nearly as much as Love The Cup or The Replusion Box, but i'm a HUGE fan of them, especially live, so i'm sure i'll come around. the copy I d/l sounded a bit sketchy too though (low volume), so that didn't help matters. Welsh Rich
I'm not a big fan to be honest, but it did impress me. I've got the promo and it sounds great - a very "big" production.
solace
I'm not a big fan to be honest, but it did impress me. I've got the promo and it sounds great - a very "big" production. they're incredibly good live. i love how much they remind me of X, especially in concert. you know Roddy Woomble is married to one of the chicks yeah? both girls in the band are pretty cute
Welsh Rich
Yeah, at the recent Cambridge show Roddy was acting as a roadie for the evening and spent their set drinking water at the bar! I resisted the urge for a chat... Well worth holding out till you've heard a proper version of the album, think you'll like it.
