Damn straight. i'm with you on that. How the hell are people getting tickets for multiple nights? I haven't even gotten through to one night yet. looks like i'll be crossing my fingers and braving the TM sale tomorrow.

Same here. I was hoping to get either two five-day passes or two for Friday and Saturday. Shut out Wednesday, shut out today. They were going to be a Christmas present for someone with whom I happen to have an anniversary on Feb. 15th, and who will be around during the public on-sale tomorrow. Time to figure out how to be sneaky. Ugh.

Hi, I'm from Spain and a I'm trying to get tickets for a friend (auria) who lives in Chicago (she's in a trip in San Francisco today and she can't try to get the tickets), but it seems impossible. We would be really thankfull if anyone could sell us tickets for any of the nights

again, i think i may have gotten lost in this expansive thread, can we still get 5 day passes tomorrow?

from what I understand - 5-day passes are gone, Wilcoworld & XRT presales only. But who knows, anything can happen.

Soes anyone know if the presale is sold out? Ticketmaster keeps saying there are tickets, but I can't get any.

yeah, me too. i'm guessing it is. they probably sold a lot of 5-day passes and lots of people seemed to have already gotten their single show tickets. i'm guessing an hour later, the allotment is out. i've entered those weird words so many times, i'm repeating them now. done with my lunch hour so will have to try tomorrow before i give up and have to shill out $100 a ticket off of craigslist...

Ticketmaster has never been known for precise use of the english language but if today was actually a "presale", it would follow that there should be a "sale" sometime in the future.

I just showed up 10 minutes late to the library holiday party because of the ticket sale and burst in the door yelling "Woo, I'm going to Wilco!" only to find the Dean of Libraries was giving a blessing. Whoops.

I think that those of you who cannot make these shows may still be beneficiaries. The shows will serve to greatly expand the available reportoire and so they easily could play any of the songs on any given night.

That is what the Mrs. and I are hoping. We scored row A tickets to Cleveland, so we decided (actually reality and our checkbook decided) that we wouldn't even try for Saturday in Chicago. The fact that the venue is 10 minutes from one of my favorite North American breweries didn't hurt either. I just hope the boys have a little left in their gas tank after THE concert event of 08.

Not disputing any of that. Just saying for people who have never been in the area before, its not the same type of neighborhood as Metro, or Double Door, and you do need to exercise a little more caution if you wind up parking on a side street.

The parking lots nearby are expensive - expect to pay $20. BUT, if you are reasonably early there is almost always street parking available along the cemetary on Lawrence just west of the Riv.

Uptown is not at all scary any more, though it seems most people on the street walk with a limp for some reason. :lol There's always homeless people at the shelter a few blocks east, no big deal.

And while we're doing the Google street view, here's the Riv in all its glory! The building next door has new windows now instead of plywood...

eta: the Uptown Lounge kitty-corner from the Riv is a great place for drinks before/after the show, and open 'til 4am. And no cover, the Green Mill will probably cost you $15 to get in the door.

I tried for an hour at the library...got cut off due to the time limit allowed there...then tried at work and couldn't get them there either. I just wanted tickets for Saturday night. I want one, I tried going for 2 or 3 as well but nothing worked. I'm so frustrated. GRRR. And tomorrow I have to work at 10 am so I doubt I will be able to get a Sat night ticket when I get home from work. :ohwell
