Considering the two list above don't include a single track off Muswell Hillbillies, I'm having a hard time taking them seriously.

here's an idea

when you make your list, you put your favorite songs on it

when i make my list, i'll put my favorite songs on it

oklahoma usa, complicated life, holiday and alcohol are four favorites from muswell hillbillies, but you know what? they're not in my top 20

if you think that makes my taste less valid than yours, i have a hard time taking anything you say seriously

1. Arthur

2. Lola

3. Village Green

You literally won't hear any other three albums, ever, by anybody, that are better than these. And if you do, you'll be famous, because you'll be the dude bringing them to the world at large.

i love the kinks but come on... The Beatles, Talking Heads, Rolling Stones....that's just for starters.

Ahhh, The Kinks. If I ever get married I want Strangers to be our first dance song.

me too.

Massive Kinks binge over the past 6+ weeks or so.  As of today, I'd list their top 5 albums as such:

1. The Village Green Preservation Society

2. Muswell Hillbillies

3. Lola Versus Powerman & the Moneygoround, Part One

4. Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire)

5. Something Else by The Kinks

I finally found this one and picked it up:

The_Kinks_-_The_Great_Lost_Kinks_Album.j

Most of it has been available as bonus tracks on the Kinks reissues, but: A) I don't have all those albums yet and, B) I like having it all as it was released. I can be a nerd like that.
