anthony
My favorite is This American Life. Thanks for the Buddhist recommendation. Gonna try that one out!
DAngerer09
All Songs Considered is still my favorite, and if you like that one, you may enjoy NPR's Second Stage. On Second Stage, they feature a lot of unsigned bands and artists that are really unheard of, for the most part.
myboyblue
Love the recommendations. My favorite by far is "Real Time with Bill Maher". I actually look forward to driving home from work.

Papillon Parade
Russell Brand! You can listen to them right from his website. I find him hilarious...although I love everything British. Except mushy peas, blech.
jcroach
A buddy of mine does a good new music podcast that's heavy on local and unsigned artist in Indianapolis. you can find it here: http://indianapolismusic.net/category/imn-podcast/

Albert Tatlock
BBC Radio 4:- In Our Time With Melvyn Bragg - one topic per week discussed by experts in the field for 50 minutes with the presenter acting as prompter and providing a framework for the session. The kind of educational, eloquent discussion becoming all too rare in these days of dumbing down. Anyway, current titles on my iPod from the last few weeks: The Mexican Revolution / Random and Pseudo-Random Numbers / Childe HArolds Pilgrimmage / Aristotle's Poetics / The Nervous System / The Battle of Bannockburn. I just like hearing people debate and inform with use of articulate language.Start The Week With Andrew MarrFrom Our Own CorrespondentCrossing ContinentsDesert Island DiscsExcess BaggageGreat LivesWitness

mpolak21
A friend of mine (from Wheeling) just turned me on to that show. Oh cool, they thanked someone from Wheeling during the pledge show last week. Since I finally started seriously listening to it last fall it's been one of my favorite things in the world. It's knocked just about every other podcast out of my rotation (in part because it's so long). But the comedy on it is great, you aren't going to get a 45 minute interview with a fictionalized version of Bernie Taupin as voiced by Jon Wurster anywhere else: Bernie Taupin
alison the wilca
I love This American Life and Planet Money. Planet Money is really interesting if you are curious about how money works in the world. Oh- and Car Talk!
Oil Can Boyd
Another vote for This American Life (which is the only one I never miss) but I also like Radiolab.
sureshot
You Look Nice Today Possibly the funniest podcast in existence (although you need a nerd sense of humor). Unfortunately the update pretty rarely these days, but theres still a huge back catalog to keep you busy.
