Killer Whales
Pretty much all of We're Just Friends. For me, it's just very high school poetry-esque, and is a blemish on an otherwise brilliant album
TCP
Both lyrics posted I like a lot. This topic is far too negative for me.
junkiesmile
"Casino Queen. My lord your mean. I've been gambling like a fiend on your tables so green."It's about the only Wilco song that makes me cringe. "How about I just go eat some hay. I could make things out of clay. Lay by the bay. I just may. What do you say?"

owl
Some trees will bendAnd some will fallBut then againSo will us all Great song, but bad grammar.
Wendy
Both lyrics posted I like a lot. This topic is far too negative for me.Agreed. I love Jeff's lyrics. IMO, focussing a thread on Wilco's "cringe-worthy" lyrics reminds me of a typical job performance review when too much attention is placed on the 1% stuff your boss thought you sucked at, instead of the 99% rest of your work that was great. I hate that mentality. But that's how this thread makes me feel.
So Long
worst lyric that comes to mind is actually on an Autumn Defense record: morning is likea surrender to me.... ugh

AFlyOnTheWall of the LOFT
I sit on the couch aloneWhere you sit when I'm not homeAnd I feel so close to you From Leave me (Like you found me) Such a cool song, especially the eerie electonic sounds over the pre-chorus. But, those lines are kind of lame.
you ever seen a ghost?
>Such a cool song, especially the eerie electonic sounds over the pre-chorus. Those mellotron sounds and the way he sings "honestly." Love that song. -justin

nodep5
Most of "In A Future Age" I actually like the song, but I always felt like it tried too hard, which is what I love about Tweedy's lyrics, they always seem effortless. This song has that broader scope thing of i'm the artist and I can see into the future and tell you all how it is going to be. Maybe I missed the point.
