yermom
If anybody is itching for a project and wants to gather all of the songs in this thread into a super-mix, please do. Sendspace it so I can drink too much and rock out '90s style with sing-alongs and everything some time. I'll post video of my performance as thanks. 1) 2) 3)
zkits
I've always found that i can never remember the most of the artists of the 90's. But if you play me a song from that decade i can probably sing all the words to it.
Sir Stewart
This may be better off in the blasphemy thread, but Smashmouth's "Walking On The Sun" was pretty fun when it came out.

mountain bed
Anything by the Spin Doctors. They were pretty fun. I didn't see the connection with jambands, but they did get lumped in with them. I always liked Cracker - I thought "Low" was a pretty decent tune.

MrRain422
"Brimful of Asha" by Cornershop The first time I heard it was a revelation. Before that I never realized that everybody does need a bosom for a pillow.
EL the Famous
There's a song I'm blanking on - the artist was a dude with a name that I'm confusing with "Edwin McCain" and the song had "girl" in the title, and it was a crooner-type performance (kinda Bowie-esque vocals) with a fuzz guitar hook. It's become an AOR favorite, but when it first came out (96ish?) it was pretty cool. dude, check out his tune 'adidas world' as well. i'm not liek a huge fan or anything, but i that it was just as fun as 'girl like you'. L7 - pretend that we're deadyoung black teenagers - tap the bottle (maybe not alternative, but it sure reminds me of the 90's)too much joy - that's a lie
CortezTheKiller
This may be better off in the blasphemy thread, but Smashmouth's "Walking On The Sun" was pretty fun when it came out.Perhaps the mods can put this in its rightful place.

MrRain422
I actually liked that 7 Mary 3 song, but "What's Up" is possibly the worst song I've ever heard. Just thinking about it makes my ears cry.
