Cool! They might look nice on the mantlepiece, or maybe in the garden.

Worst things that have happened to me...........................

1) I got beat up by a guy who mistaked me for someone else and shreded up my favorite Wilco shirt at the time.

2) My ex-girlfriend went on a trip to see a friend,(A man she was cheating on me with) and borrowed my all time favorite Wilco shirt, the long sleeve color bars off screen tv shirt. Well she returned but my shirt did not, and later found out why....................................Man I loved that shirt, I'm more heart broken over that damn t-sthirt than the eight long years of misery she put me through.

If anyone can find me this shirt, I would do almost anything to have it!

  • 1 month later...

So there I was, sitting at the food court in the mall at Christmas time wearing my long sleeve navy blue t-shirt from YHF. Santa comes riding up the escalator and says "Wilco - have you ever seen them live?", So I says "Yes, many times. Santa, they are my favorite!". To which he replies "I will be sure to let them know".

I think I have told this here before but several years ago I was in a small town on the coast of Maine, wearing my summerteeth-era Wilco shirt. An old lady, probably in her late 70s, came over to me and said "Is that Wilco, the rock band?" I said yes. She said "the fellow who plays bass guitar in that rock band was over visiting the so-and-so's last night." And indeed, John had been in town.

I remember this story... and just now I read your post to my wife, who replied, "I think I remember you telling me that story."

Once I wore a Wilco shirt to another concert, and afterwards I had the good fortune of running into the drummer. All he wanted to talk about was Wilco. (I don't remember which band it was!)

I was wearing my Wilco truckers hat, back when they were all the rage, and it caught the attention of this very pretty girl. she commented on it saying, "Did you see Wilco last month?" and I was like, "Oh, I didn't know they were here, how did I miss them?!" come to find out, she got Wilco confused with the Bright Eyes. we didn't talk after that.

One time a boy I had a crush on remembered me from an event we were both at a YEAR before because I was wearing a Wilco shirt at the event.

Pretty sweet!

Nothing ever happened, but it was a cool moment.

Also, some band members of another one of my favorite bands sought me out after a show because they liked my Wilco shirt. Rock on! Always a good conversation piece.

I was wearing the Ramones-esque Wilco shirt once at another concert, which started up a conversation with the cute girl working the beer cart who happened to be a fan.

When I finally returned with the beers, my wife gave me a good ribbing about my "new friend" and told me "Honey, she was obviously just hitting on you because nobody really listens to any of those bands you like." :hmm :lol
