Jesusetc84
Yeah, that memo gogo sent around warning us that votes for any of those albums would result in immediate tazing worked surprisingly well.VC PROTOCOL 4 LIFE! Guest Moses
I'm a little surprised by the lack of UT on this list. What's wrong with you people? Perhaps I should have remembered to send in my list...

Twisted Acres
I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of Sam Cooke's Harlem Square Club (a classic, yes, but often forgotten on these kind of lists). And I'd never heard of The Wrens before. love love LOVE that album

dondoboy
TWO Blind Melon records? Please.
PopTodd
TWO Blind Melon records? Please. I'm guessing that Dondante is quite a bit younger than you (or me). To him (her?) that is Classic Rock, of sorts. Hell, it's almost 20 years ago that stuff came out. I'm not much of a fan either. But perspective does shape taste and opinions.
gogo
TWO Blind Melon records? Please. Hey, everyone gets their own top 100! looks like i'm late to the party on this one, but out of boredom, i'll throw my top 20 out there, which isn't very well thought out. not really in a good order, mostly just what i could think of first. maybe it can be used in the next recount down the line....We could do this again this summer, if people are interested. Dondante
TWO Blind Melon records? Please. wow! sorry you're not a fan. i was under the impression that we could create our own top 20 to be voted onto a list. didn't know it had to have your stamp of approval. like someone else mentioned, maybe i'm a little younger than you. i'm 25 and i grew up listening to blind melon. like i said though, that list wasn't very well thought out. i left a lot of stuff out and added some stuff just to fill up a top 100, it was just made up on a whim. however, let me correct you, i actually put 3 blind melon records on there, not 2. furthermore, if i could re-create my top 100, it would probably look a lot different, but all 3 blind melon albums would remain present. blind melon is one of the most underrated bands of the past 20 years in my opinion, sorry you don't get it. Central Scrutinizer
Hey, everyone gets their own top 100! We could do this again this summer, if people are interested. What about top 100 bands? Top 100 songs?
Dondante
What about top 100 bands? Top 100 songs? top 100 bands would be a cool idea, although, personally i don't think i like that many artists to the extent that i'd want to mention them on a favorites list. top 20 would probably work better. i guess we could create a top 100 out of our top 20's like was done for the albums. that's probably what you meant anyway. 100 songs wouldn't work for me, there are too many great songs to cram it into a list. that would take me like 10 years to figure out and by then it would be all wrong. a lot of songs also work better in the context of an album, and wouldn't hold up as well on their own. to use a wilco song as an example, 'reservations' comes to mind. great song and great as a closer for the album, but have you ever tried to throw that on a mix tape? doesn't work out too well.... chanman1128
blind melon is one of the most underrated bands of the past 20 years in my opinion, sorry you don't get it. I have been saying this for years... I am 21 and Soup is one of my all time favorite albums, they would have gone on to do unbelievable things if Shannon Hoon didn't die. :-(

Guest Francis X. Hummel
I'd love a top 100 bands and top 100 albums. I agree that songs would be tough.
gogo
I like the idea of Top 100 Bands. It still feels kind of too soon to do the albums again (I know it's been a year, but will people's tastes really have changed that much? Will we have enough new entries?). Maybe I'll shoot for Bands in September or so, then the albums again after the first of the year.
Guest Francis X. Hummel
sounds good to me. i like the Bands idea too.
