magazine called sunset
Great show. "Nudie suits" all around. I picked out owls, skulls, kitty cats, whales and dragonflies as embellishments. Crazy cool. Two songs were left off the official setlist; Heavy Metal Drummer and I'm the Man Who Loves You. One new song played - listed as One Wing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the set:MisunderstoodIATTBYHYou Are My FaceImpossible GermanyIt's Just That Simple (!!!!)Handshake DrugsPot Kettle BlackOne Wing Spiders (Kidsmoke)A Shot in the ArmJesus, Etc.Hate it Here (w/The Total Pros)Can't Stand It (w/TTP)Walken (w/TTP)Monday (w/TTP)Outtasite, Outtamind Yay! virtualreason
The whole band covered in Nudie Suits was incredible. Even The Total Pros had them; complete with their respective instruments on the back--purple suits too....quite nice. I'm a little miffed that they played for only 1.5 hours, but, then again, it's a festival. Another great show in Chicago.
ChooChooCharlie
what a fun set. i saw Rage instead. really tough call, but just couldn't pass up Rage. i was hoping to come home and not see a set that made me truly remorseful.......

duce1982
This was a freaking awesome set!! Best live Wilco I've seen in awhile --- and I loved the new song and John Stirratt's singing!! They are getting tighter as a band (if that is at all possible) Can't wait for the next album!!
renic
the crowd by me was awesome! though i think that was the sentiment for the most part. nice change, no assholes, no one really dancing except me & another dude, but everyone was still cool & enjoying themselves. i think the guy next to me was just to stoned to do anything but stare. a good time indeed. Preferred B
I wasn't there, but Tamala and I had fun trying to identify the various Nudie motifs from our respective air conditioned couches. (Glenn's crickets made me laugh.) Looked like a very fun night - I'm excited for everyone who'll be seeing them at the upcoming shows.
Guest Jules
They were in fine form. I stayed farther back with my wife, but sound was still great. I thought the SBS tunes translated great in the festival setting (specifically walken and hate it here). Now I'm tempted to go to Indy tomorrow. Also, I think the rumor has Obama introducing Kanye tonight.

Preferred B
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nudie_suit They're no longer made by Nudie himself, of course.

Was Chicago a one-time deal for the Total Pros? Or will they be following along for the week?

Three dollars and 63 cents
Nels's skull suit will be my next avatar, as soon as I find a decent picture of it. He looked so badass. I'd been starting to look forward to next week's shows, but watching the webcast last night made me really get excited!
H.Stone
Everyone was still cool & enjoying themselves. a good time indeed. You are MY face... TY. Looked like a very fun night - I'm excited for everyone who'll be seeing them at the upcoming shows. Bone theme confirmed, brah. And owl droppings. They were in fine form. I stayed farther back with my wife, but sound was still great. Tell your wife she's badassz for going to Lolla at 8+ months...in August in Chicago. Seriously. You're a lucky dude. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nudie_suit They're no longer made by Nudie himself, of course. Wiki link!
Wendy
Molly & I were at a casual dinner party which died down before 10:00 (Wilco coming on at 10:30 our time) so I said, "Either we're leaving NOW or fire up that PC!" Luckily the hostess is a big Wilco fan as well, so with her hubby fast asleep in his living room chair, we snuck off to the den and watched the ATT Blue Room webcast. I noticed Jeff in the red suit and knew right away it was a new one, and as the camera panned each member in their own custom design, all 3 of us were squealing in delight. You just can't do that to us old Flying Burrito Brothers fangirls, be still our hearts! Weird but cool, too, because I had just seen Chris Hillman two nights earlier. Full circle. Loved the performance, especially Jeff's guitar work in Spiders. Hoping JHamm captured this in hi-res. Really stunning visually and musically.

MrRain422
Hadn't seen them in a while. It was fun. Renic, sorry I couldn't find you. We headed over there too late to get that close.

Dreamin'
I never thought I'd see the Maneki Neko on a Nudie suit! Obviously an East meets West shout-out to the hardcore Asian fanbase.
LouieB
Can someone explain "Nudie suits" to a newbie, if it suits you. While it was mainly country artists who bought them, such as Porter Wagner, Gram Parsons had a rather famous one with marijuana leaves on it (the rest of the Flying Burritto Brothers had other stuff.) Pretty cool. LouieB
Gobias Industries
Saw it all today. I thought the start was a little slow but it got kicking by the end. Pat is a goofball, that's all I can really say. I love it.
