uwmryan
Where have these guys been hiding? Or have I just missed it? A good band from Florida? What does that make? 3? Thank you for this recommendation. It reminds me of Son Volt.

Calexico
Ha. That's what I thought too! NP: Sounds wonderful. Maybe it's the copy I downloaded. It sounds terribly muted and what is going on with the Kanye West vocal distortion in the last track?!?
Sir Stewart
Bluegrass "Old Enough" by the Raconteurs with Ricky Skaggs and Ashley Monroe Only gripe is Jack White and Skaggs don't harmonize well together imo. Brendan Benson looks like the lovechild of Justin Timberlake and John Stirratt.
solace
Maybe it's the copy I downloaded. It sounds terribly muted and what is going on with the Kanye West vocal distortion in the last track?!? it's a vinyl rip... prolly not the best transfer, the CD release isn't until January as for the Kanye comment... that effect has been used since the 70's (think Roger Troutman!). it's a vocoder, much like Imogen Heap uses often (most specifically on Hide & Seek), honestly i don't mind the effect, but not big on that song anyway, regardless of the vocoder

lizish
I got my order from Pink Nasty - aka Sara Beck. Package had all these stickers of kittens and hearts. Inside were the 2 Pink Nasty CDs, an extra CD from a band called the Kevins which she seems to have guested on and more stickers. Sara and I, we're now BFFs. This album is amazing, and I'm 2 years too slow on the uptake.
