LouisvilleGreg
Thanks for the heads up. I feel like she had a career peak with "Fox Confessor," so I'm really looking forward to this one.

LouieB
No road trip to the Beachland? Giants Sand's there, as well as the PD Posse (well, those that can get the night off)!Actually I heard about this as I left Cleveland today on WRUW. It did cross my mind to catch this, particularly with Big Sand opening. I saw Neko at the Beachland a few years back with the Sadies and it was quite the show... Wendy
No road trip to the Beachland? Giants Sand's there, as well as the PD Posse (well, those that can get the night off)! That show's already on my calendar, especially after missing Neko on the New Pornos last visit in Cleveland (absent due to foot injury). Lou -- You should do this! I can getcha from NE Indiana to Cleveland!
cryptique
I feel like she had a career peak with "Fox Confessor,"I would agree with this ... so far, anyway. I was just wondering the other day when we'd get some new Neko.

people are leaving
There are gems on all of'em. My favorite by a landslide = Furnace Room Lullaby
lost highway
I don't have the faintest guess as to what this record is going to sound like. Obviously it will have better vocals than 99% of the albums released this year. Beyond that I've got no guesses and I love that. Think I'll go listen to Fox Confessor again. It's only one of the best albums ever made, ever.

cryptique
I don't know that I'd call the New Pornographers her "primary band." Makes it sound like she's a member of the NPs first and a solo artist second. Thanks for posting that, A-man ... can't wait! I thought this was interesting.
jimmyjimmy
Neko will spend most of 2009 on the road. Just thinking how great it'll be catching her next Spring. Can't wait.
lizish
Fox Confessor =====> Avenging Cougar?
Wendy
I love that she covered Harry Nilsson. Even sang it on tour this fall. I keep hopeful about the new album, but she did play 2 new songs which were okay on first introduction, not knock-outs, but way too early to judge IMO. What a nice cast of guest artists, too! Moving from the Tucson desert to a farm in Vermont? That's a big switch but sounds awesome!

M. (hristine
Good eye Leo! (I mean the car ) One of my best friends from high school drove a Cougar of about that vintage. Spent many a summer night cruising those Ohio country roads in it. "We have now reached our cruising altitude of 37,00 feet." Can't wait for new Neko.
