bobbob1313
Fuck you. Wait, really? Like, really? I was being sarcastic, what the hell is up your ass? Really? I made reference to it before, so now we're gonna go with it:
Sir Stewart
We were playing chicken and I won!!!!!!!!!! (fr realz, I looked at your previous post and was like 'is he kidding...or not...hmm....' and decided my next move) Anyway - sorry everyone else. I blame the Red Sox loss on Tom Caron, the NESN desk douche, who, during the rain delay, was talking about the game (which was 9-1 Sox at that point) as if it were in the books. "This is the Red Sox' (whatever stat) win over Baltimore in (whatever stat) games..." As he was saying it I was like "Dude..." I don't want the Red Sox to be unbeatable monsters. I just don't. So there's a part of me that enjoyed the O's comeback, I gotta admit.
bobbob1313
I mean, I know I'm an evil, Red Sox hatin' sunmabitch, but that doesn't mean I'm a dick.
Sir Stewart
I know, that's why I said fuck you. This exchange is gonna look so awesome tomorrow. Sorry in advance to all.
bobbob1313
We should probably just edit all of the posts to be nonsensical. Meanwhile, in Bizarro Miami: Miami-Dade officials are up past midnight to put the finishing touches on the bond sales for the new stadium. This thing should be fully approved by 1, and if it isn't, it's not happening. Nobody is worried it won't happen (except for every single Marlins fan in Miami).
The High Heat
I forgot to tell you guys that Terry francona was at fiu last January. His daughter plays softball or unc or something and we played them.UNC is correct. I think her name is Megan and I believe she's plays third, or at least infield.
The High Heat
Did you see that the Nats had a record attendance during the Sox games? Even better than opening day of the new stadium. Man, that's gotta hurt. At least Sox fans (some of them) have adopted the Natinals and have a fondness for them that they do not feel for the Orioles. The Nationals are puppies. They've never had an 18-year run of winning seasons like the Orioles, who are currently working on an 18-year losing streak. What's happened to my Birds? Oh yeah, Peter Angelos. KevinG
Game so crazy Baltimore even used one of their starters to pinch run in the 8th. fairly common in the national league. Or at least for the Cubs.
Lammycat
That BOS/BAL game was whacky last night. At one point, Masterson (who came in in "relief" for Smoltz after the rain delay) ran off the field after inducing a ground ball out with only two outs in the inning- the entire squad followed him off the field. Never seen that before.... Apparently that was the O's biggest come-back since '57 (according to a pal who texted me last night, at least). Even though my team lost it was exciting as hell watching that game. Good for the O's; they could use a boost. And, I'm glad that Smoltz looked pretty damn good last night in his short work. jenbobblehead
Caliber and I were at the Red Sox/Orioles game today at Camden Yards. I thought the sox were really missing their energy through most of the game, and Josh Beckett seemed to throw A LOT of pitches (and not enough strikes) but they pulled it out in the 11th! The strangest thing about the game, though, was that for probably the first time EVER, I was at a game that easily had as many (maybe more!) Orioles fans than Red Sox fans! jenbobblehead
I didn't get one. I couldn't find the one I wanted, that says TastyKake on the front, and then Markakis on the back. So I remain Markakis free.
parisisstale
What site is good for breaking down player stats chronologically? Por exemplo: Jon Lester's numbers over his last five or so starts. baseballreference.com is the best public site to use for any mlb research. We use it for everything we do. From a player's gamelog, you can just click on any start and end date to come up with the totals for that range. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.cgi?n1=lestejo01&t=p&year=2009 Their accuracy is top-notch as well. I confirm certain numbers with Elias sometimes just be sure and have yet to find a discrepancy. CBS, on the other hand, is garbage.
