joshead
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the little thing on Wilcoworld that says, "Wilco CD booklet photo shoot open call @ Pabst 5pm today." That sounds neat.
lost highway
I can't wait to hear exactly what that entails. I smell a funloving/silly aspect to the album art this time around..... or maybe there will be serious pictures of people from Milwaukee in their liner notes.
gogo
There's some discussion of this in the thread for last night's show, in the After the Show subforum.

bcart12
Last night Jeff said to wear your winter coats and look forlorn. Bulkier and uglier the better. He said the idea is very "high concept."
Beltmann
He said they wanted to make clear that Wilco have the most "downtrodden" fans--sounds like they are aiming for a thematic connection to the DVD, which, reportedly, notices how certain aspects of American culture, like live venues, are falling apart. lost highway
Oh.... I think I see where this is going. The 'huddled masses' kind of idea. You know like "Wilco will love you baby", all of the people in line, the band is shining beacon of light etc. etc. (?)

Preferred B
It started later than it was originally supposed to, and some friends and I witnessed part of it before going over to dinner. The photographer had three of the band's Nudie suits along with her - I think it was both of Jeff's suits and Nels's suit. She eyeballed the crowd and picked three people to go into the theater and put them on. (I hope one of those folks pops up here.) There was also a birthday cake. I didn't see exactly how that prop was involved. When the models emerged they were strategically placed in the line with everyone else. Then there was a bunch of photo taking. Others can elaborate, I'm sure. There were a whole lot of people in line; some must be on VC.

Preferred B
There was never any guarantee that any of this will be used. But I certainly am curious about the concept.
