Synthesizer Patel
Oh, so its like the rest of British food. that would have worked from anyone else anywhere else in the world.
YouWereRightAboutTheStars
W or no W- I would have stuck with the single humped camel..... A single humped camel gulps down its food without chewing it first, later regurgitating the undigested food and chewing it in cud form. I do the same thing with WILCO albums and Arby's sandwiches. moxiebean
My initial reaction to the cover: "Who's gonna clean up after the camel?"
jff
My initial reaction to the cover: "Who's gonna clean up after the camel?" I don't know. Who cleans up after Nels?
mfwahl
It reminds me of Spaceballs when Yogurt is talking about all the merchandising for the movie. We'll need Wilco (the koozie) and Wilco (the lunchbox) and Wilco (the beach towel).Wilco (the flamethrower)
Central Scrutinizer
This thread is proof that this board can make just about anything controversial or argumentative. No it can't.
Hoodoo Man
I like the cover, but I'm afraid Nonesuch may have to change it. It's a little too sexy. I mean a camel in a a hat with a cake sitting on a small table? And you should have seen what they wanted to put on the table. It certainly wasn't a cake, I can tell you that. Nonesuch will be forced to release Wilco (the album) with a completely black cover.

Nigel: What's wrong with being sexy?Ian: Sex-IST.

RainDogToo
Apparently, Rolling Stone also thinks the cover photo was taken on a roof. Wilco revealed the album cover for their new LP Wilco (The Album) on their official Website: Yes, it’s a photo of a camel attending a rooftop birthday party. Rock Daily recently talked to the band’s Glenn Kotche about the band’s June 30th LP. http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/inde...nd-joey-ramone/
plasticeyeball
i still don't get that, or should i say, see it that way. i really doesn't look like a rooftop or a balcony at all.
RainDogToo
i still don't get that, or should i say, see it that way. i really doesn't look like a rooftop or a balcony at all. I never saw it that way, either. I even keep staring at it to see if I can make myself see it in that way… I just don't get it.
Wendy
Me neither.
plasticeyeball
Me neither. but it still doesn't make me happy. they could have parked that camel in front of any other building in that town and i would be okay with it.
jff
i still don't get that, or should i say, see it that way. i really doesn't look like a rooftop or a balcony at all. I thought it was a deck at first. The roofline of the german restaurant looked like it was the top facade of a two or three story building to me, and the railing contributed to the illusion. Now that I've seen the non-camel version of the photo I see the image for what it is.
lost highway
In their defense it looked like a high rise porch to me....
The High Heat
Me too, but let's be realistic. That can't be topped.I really don't want to, but...oh...alright. I'll be realistic...wait a sec!Maybe Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem can open for Wilco this summer! How would we tell Glenn and Animal apart, though?
GtrPlyr
Initially I thought it was a rooftop patio shot too. C'mon, a camel with a party hat screams rooftop bar, but of course that car sorta killed that whole first impression. Maybe they could photoshop the middle-ground, I want my rooftop patio back. Littlebear
It's as if I had stumbled on another world. I see a weird, kinda ridiculous album cover and everybody around's saying "awesome! awesome!". I'm not dreaming. This is real. I think this album cover means Jeff is struggling to stop smoking.
