u2roolz
Captain Fantastic & The Brown Dirt Cowboy. I'd be most interested for the title track which I think they would kill, Meal Ticket which would rock, and the epic We All Fall In Love Sometimes (which kind of reminds me of Everlasting)/Curtains finale. I do like the choices being thrown around.
Mr. Kinsley
Ooooo! Oooo! I got it! Prince's Purple Rain No. Seriously. How stinking rad* would that be. *Rad used without irony, but instead as a sincere 80's terminology tribute.

Ghost of Electricity
Bob Dylan - Blood On The Tracks despite the fact that tweedy has done a pretty good version of one of these songs, this album can not be covered in its entirety without either mangling either it, or the reputation of the band who would undertake such a herculean task, or, more likely, both. the material is simply too close to Dylan himself for anyone to be able to pull it off. It wouldn't ring true. Plus, who could possibly remember all the words to 'Idiot Wind?'

bigshoulders
I'd like to hear The The's "Dusk."I second that. This was the first album I'd ever heard by The The, and I didn't bother picking up anything else of theirs for years, b/c in my mind, nothing could ever be as good as "Dusk". I was right. Wilco could bring on board Max Crawford and da Total Pros for the horn parts.

The High Heat
N.W.A. - Straight Outta ComptonI was thinking "Thriller" with Jeff Moonwalking would be interesting, but I like your idea better.
Wild Frank
How about Derek and the Dominos - Layla and Assorted Love Songs. Nells would be all over that!! Other than that I'm thinking Neil Young - 'Trans'. There are some great songs on that album that could be redone with a different context. In terms of Dylan I think they could do something with 'Street Legal'.
W(TF)
I don't really like this idea either, but it might be fun to hear/see them do an old classic like Freak Out!, Pet Sounds, or Loaded. Then again I think most of it would probably be kind of boring. If the band were ever to actually do this my guess is it would be Big Star, Television, or the Replacements. Ghost of Electricity
the solo records had crossed my mind too. but there are 6 current members of wilco, and only 4 kiss solo records, so it doesn't divide up... nels, in any event, would have to get "fractured mirror" (i can't believe i remember that)
Moss
Dirty South - Drive by Truckers Actually it would be Big Star or the Replacements in some way but those were taken.

Guest Alan
The Kinks - Lola versus Powerman and the Moneygoround, Pt. 1That or Village Green Preservation Society would be great. Hell, I just want to hear Wilco cover "Last of the Steam-Powered Trains"

Hearing Wilco play Heavy Metal Drummer for the 20th is boring. This would be fantastic to be at. An actual one of a kind show from Wilco.
