jff
I hate to admit it, but I would have a very hard time naming ten artists from this decade that I listen to regularly. having said that, I nominate Dungen.
Boots
I can see your issue with ABAAC, but I couldn't disagree more on BTCD. But I think we've been down this path before.... Can't believe I forgot them. I can't believe I forgot The National either, or Josh Ritter

Vacant Horizon
That's a great list, Dondante. I'd also make arguments for Beck, Califone, Feist, Grizzly Bear, Iron & Wine, Sufjan Stevens, Marah, Lucinda Williams, M.I.A., Ryan Adams, Ron Sexsmith, Jack White/White Stripes, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen. But it's hard to disagree with any of your picks. like him or not, sufjan has to be on that list. i would add drive by truckers. i need to check out ron sexsmith
Vacant Horizon
yes, pretty amazing decade for him.

tinnitus photography
I saw about 15 minutes of a Six Organs show a few years ago and it was awesome. I've been meaning to check out some recordings, but haven't gotten around to it yet. i really like _Shelter from the Ash_ a lot, and _Dark Noontide_ as well. _Songs For Octavio Paz_ is pretty mellow, but good. What are Tyst Minut and Samtidigt? I have all of Dungen's main releases (aside from the self titled one), but I'm not familiar with those. they are 12" records; the Tyst Minut came as a bonus CD on the _Tat De Lugnt_ cd reissue. not sure if _Samtidigt_ has been reissued...it originally came out on Mexican Summer which is an off-shoot of Kemado and has put out some fine fine records, including ones from Kurt Vile and Wooden Shjips. CortezTheKiller
good call on neil young! While far from his greatest decade, the first installment of the Archives, the Archives Performance Series releases, and Greendale push him into the discussion for me. That said, Fork in the Road is fucking terrible and Are You Passionate? is not one of his finer moments. Silver & Gold and Prairie Wind are solid folk/country/acoustic albums. I like Living With War for what it is, and Chrome Dreams II is a very good 1/2 album (No Hidden Path, Spirit Road, Dirty Old Man, Ordinary People, and The Way). I also enjoyed the Demme documentary "Heart of Gold," released in '06.

W(TF)
I didn't get that memo. I exaggerate. But if you're a Neil fan, you at least oughta hear and acknowledge the live Okonokos version of Dondante, one of the best things anyone's done this decade IMO.
