marino13
I thought their first album was good, but not worthy of the lavish praise and album of the year honors it received. Add to that, I saw them early in their tour and thought they were a bit awkward and nothing spectacular. Part of me wanted to not like this song to justify my prior feelings and bring them back down to earth. Damn you Fleet Foxes, I really liked it.
nodep5
they are one super hyped band in the last 5 or so years that I completely fell for. Beards, flannels, rustic folk, sweet melodies, awesome album art, I mean what is lacking. Don't say the songs, cause the songs are beautiful.
solace
yeah, it's really hard not to love them. i guess i can't say i got caught up in the hype as I was lucky to see them twice prior to the full length coming out, but still. the fact that Robin was 19 when he wrote the first album just blows my mind
embiggen
I'm going to NEED to go to that NY show.

Plumplechook
Really looking forward to this - that new song is a delightful teaser. I love the first album. My 16 year old son is autistic and for some reason the Fleet Foxes cut through to him like no other music. No matter what mood he is in, as soon as the first album or EP start playing he gets a big smile on his face and gets right up close to the speakers. I'm so looking forward to playing him the new album!

nodep5
The more I listen to the new song, the more I love it, and I loved it from the start. I think it is cool because it brings to my mind many questions. I know in interviews Robin has tried to distance the song from being a protest song (which is weird because I never took it that way/i got a real positive vibe from it) but I'm sure a hippie looking band with sweet harmonies that kind of sound like CSN has to be a protest band with the lazy journalists. Anyway, he has talked about the song and the new album being more personal and straight forward lyrically, which this song fits that mold, but it could be taken many different ways, and what about the last line about the man on the screen. All I know is this song turns into a beautiful thing. What a freaking tease May 3 rd GEEZ!!
wheelco
I'm majorly awaiting this ... but bummed at no Ohio shows on the list!

There is one part in Mykonos that is straight up CSN, I believe similar to Ohio The "You go whereever you go" part

solace
Another new song, Battery Kinzie: Battery Kinzie not quite as awesome as the title track, but still really nice
nodep5
I'm really trying to not be let down here. This is easily my most anticipated release this year. The first wave of Fleet Foxes stuff clicked with me big time and my expectations are high. I really feel the title track from the new one is strong, and this latest song is pleasant upon two listens. Their debut had some real strong moments that are epic in my mind, I hope I can view Helplessness Blues for its own thing, but I'll probably always compare.
