Narducy is not an original member.  Probably got in because Jon Wurster (drummer) and him are Bob Mould's touring band.  I've followed Jason for several years as in opened several tours for Bob in the 90s with a cellist named Alison Chelsey.  They released a couple of LPs and Jason & Alison and a couple as a full band called Verbow.  Bob produced the first Verbow LP called Chronicles.  Their stuff is worth searching for.

Jason & Alison will back Bob on his Workbook 25th tour soon.  Sorry I won't be able to see those shows.

wow, Workbook is really 25 years old? I remember buying that on cassette at Tower Records on South Street in Philly the week it came out...

That was a great show.  I remember Mould had lost a bunch of weight and didn't have the Flying V and I didn't recognize him at first.  And then he started playing ...

Somehow missed that show.  Haven't seen him in a long time.  One of the big regrets of my rock n roll career was back in the day going to see REM at the Harvard Gym, must have been the time of Radio Free Europe/Murmur, with Hüsker Dü opening.  We weren't familiar with HD at the time, and my wife and I spent their set outside.  Within a few months I was kicking myself over that.

Sorry for the topic diversion.

That place is going to be rocking, and the hometown fans should go nuts over lesser-known songs like Sleeping With the Television On, Souvenir, and so on. Have a great time!

Was a good show wish I heard Souvenir and Sleeping with The Televison on.. got Blonde over Blue, Zanzibar and Big Man on Mullberry St :stunned

let us know how that Dr Dog show was. They have been on  the road for awhile now and I bet they are killing it

As far as Michael Kang. In 1998 I saw them at The Bayou and were singing their praises. I then ran into all of my friends in DC that HATED the string cheese incident and I ended up not being such a fan but their early bar shows were fun.

I definitely got schmoked by the Dog last night. Band was in super form and vibe for the hometown show. Lots of energy, tight playing, and spasmatic dancing by me.

Leaned on the excellent B-Room mixed in with some older material. Their catalog is fairly deep and the roadwork keeps the chops getting better each time I see them.

Oh, and there was a special guest for the encore:
