Let me know how it is..on the fence about seeing them again..

Totally worth it. If there is a band that can transition well to a stadium, it is them.

I didn't get the 'dress formal' thing until actually going to the show and seeing all these kids absolutely decked out. It turned the whole thing into this fantastic dance club.

We were in the 300 section of the Air Canada Centre right at the back, so not the best seats. Didn't really matter. Everyone was up dancing the whole night - even to the Haitian disco songs.

Go!

DBT & Blitzen Trapper @ Toad's Place, New Haven!

If you're getting up close and won't be able to leave your spot, take my advice: wear comfortable shoes, get 2 beers and a water, and don't wear anything you'd mind getting wet and sweaty. And enjoy!!

DBT & Blitzen Trapper @ Toad's Place, New Haven!

Seeing this show in Boston on Friday (after a trip to Brooklyn for Bowlive).  Be sure to let us know how it goes.  I saw a recent setlist, 35 songs.  Don't know anything about Blitzen Trapper, deciding whether to skip, so any input would be welcome.  Can't wait.

Thanks! Whether or not I'm up front will depend on what time I get there & how long the will-call line is. Should be a fun night. Blitzen Trapper are always great.

Don't skip Blitzen Trapper! They're an excellent live band.

Do not skip Blitzen Trapper!  That would be a shame!

Weeknight shows are tough. Tomorrow's gonna be a long one.

Yes, mixed in with a kid with a stomach bug, a husband away on business, New Haven being over an hour away, and no friends cool enough to join me,  it's not going to happen.  Sigh.

Finally making it down for a show at Brooklyn Bowl.  Soulive, with tonight's announced guests Susan Tedeschi, Joe Russo and Bill Evans. Maybe a Derek Trucks showing after the Allmans finish at the Beacon?  #Bowlive5!

Funky venue, seen some good shows there! have fun

Saw the show @ Toad's Place (New Haven, CT) last night.  I had seen Blitzen Trapper before (in support of Furr).  They're a much tighter band these days.  I liked them before, but they were excellent last night.  I would strongly recommend you check them out.

The Truckers sounded great, too.  It was the first time in about 10 shows where I could hear every word clearly.  Their lyrics (which are a big reason why I enjoy their music) are typically incredibly difficult to comprehend at "The Rock Show."  While I do prefer Neff and what he contributes accentually to their sound, this latest incarnation of the band sounds great.  I'm also digging English Oceans more & more ("Pauline Hawkins" smokes live!).  I'd put it just behind the 'Big 3' (Southern Rock Opera, Decoration Day, The Dirty South).
