Wilco.    Noteworthy as this is my 100th Wilco show.

100th Wilco show tonight!

Despite all the controversy with the Springsteen tickets I managed to score decent seats on the verified fan sale in about 10 minutes yesterday. I got ADA seats 4 rows back behind the stage. Those sea

Crispy Derson has been in Australia for a long time now, but i thought they had someone else for the last couple of decades.

Im not super versed on the situation but many of the die hard I spoke to said this was the reason. David also alluded too it on x saying he feels like a travel agent, 3 continents and 5 different times zones it’s too hard he said.

Ha! IDK why you're surprised. I've always loved CJ since Trinity Sessions came out in 1988.

Rich was doing reggae and i figured all the Dead/jam-band adjacent fans would do the same... didn't know CJ were also playing.

i went to Iggy instead! choices are good.

I saw Rhett Miller (with Murry Hammond opening and also joining him for six songs) at Largo on Wednesday. Great show. Rhett has recovered amazingly well from his throat surgery.

This week, I will be seeing Superchunk on Thursday (with Case Oats opening).

Wow. Kind of off-brand for you, no?  Enjoy.

Little bit yeah.  One that my wife actually WANTS to go to.  We saw him in London this summer the night before Wilco  and he really is a great musician and entertainer.

Yo la Tengo.

Sorta.

Anyone seen this?  No idea what to expect other than a live soundtrack by YLT and a live narrated documentary about someone I've never heard of.

I saw it a few years ago and thought it was great.  That said, I am pretty familiar with Buckminster Fuller and find him an interesting guy.

The Warren Zevon tribute in LA on Saturday was one for the ages! I was a bit amazed to be reminded of how many different fantastic songs he had written...the show was a good 3 hours with barely a pause between songs. Some great performers too...Jackson Browne, Dwight Yoakum, Scott MCCaughey, Steve Wynn, Susan Cowsill, and so many other gifted musicians, including Zevon's son Jordan. The huge, sold out United Theatre (formerly the Ace) sang and ah-ooo'd our hearts out to "Werewolves of London", and the show's glorious finale saw every musician back onstage (50 or 60 of them?) to join in a fiery, joyous "Lawyers, Guns and Money".

A highlight of the evening was Susan Cowsill's heartfelt "Mohammed's Radio". All in all, an emotional night for this Zevon fan! It benefits both the Wild Honey organization, which supports its autism work, and organizations that are in response to mesothelioma cancers and asbestos, which is what Warren died of. I don't recall the specific names but I think one was the Ed Asner Foundation.
