theashtraysays
As we suspend our in-person live music outings for a bit, I thought it would be good to have a special place for the virtual gatherings we're all enjoying. If you get the luxury of going to a REAL show, please post in the other normal thread... but maybe we could put our interwebs stuff here. In some ways, this is a nice little bonus in that we can see some acts/bands that we normally wouldn't go see and check them out in a free / no risk kinda way. (Yes, I'm an optimist). nalafej had this link for a calendar (thanks!)The livestreams have been cool. Jambase just started a calendar. https://www.jambase.com/livestreamsI watched the Low Cut Connie stream last night. He's doing more, and I highly recommend it. But the biggest news of the day was JEFF TWEEDY IN A BATHTUB.Yes, you heard that right. Sue has an Instagram account called "stuff in our house" where she posts cool pics of the most random collectible items she has. Last night she did an IG Live feed of, well, yes, Jeff in a bubble bath in their home with the kids (and dog) hanging out (not literally) and just chatting. It was priceless. I can't wait for the bbop review!!! And I think there's more to come on that, so you just might want to check out IG for that (or sign up if you're still anti social media - trust me it's worth it). Cheers kids!! See ya @ the show. (see what I did there? "@" is an internet thing but "see you at the show" is something we used to say when we could actually GO to shows, so I substituted the "@" for the .... aw, what the hell, you get it). calvino
I guess, this whole situation may finally get me to set up these social media accounts that I have been hearing about for so long (full disclosure, I just jump on my wife's accounts when I feel the need). Tonight, a local musician I know ( he plays a lot of house parties, charities, and bars in my village) is putting on a live show tonight via the web. I told my wife, I am going to pull out my guitar and play along with him, while watching it. (my kid's are going to love it - probably not, but I'll enjoy it.)
jw harding
Neil Young's first fireside chat performance from last night is up for free on https://neilyoungarchives.com/ Kinda slow loading if you've never been there before, high quality and what not.

u2roolz
Neil Finn has been doing the live streams from home too. Here’s a link which is where you can find the archived recordings: https://www.neilfinn.com/fangradio?fbclid=IwAR29cDI4hgtf5Amhc88hO0gyHds3MT3Q5QGwVuzszOeZeAgFbioExFJu818 Here’s the mixlr link for the live broadcasts: http://mixlr.com/fangradio/?fbclid=IwAR19UVGT0SXxYRFoZGJuWpwPairNEPCJVA2vgbOJ-NZp6NQo38jfYhb7qZ4 Steve Wynn of The Dream Syndicate also jumped into the live stream from home movement. His was done over Facebook Live this afternoon around 4pm EST. Lots of skipping & audio cutting out. He attempted to do Dylan’s new song. He’s going to look into fixing it for the foreseeable future. Here’s a link to an older live stream from Italy: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2925677060808870&id=142135415829729If you like his FB page, you should be able to see notifications. Also, U2 released a live concert which you can only stream from their official website if you’re a fan club member. But it’s been making the rounds on YouTube. Just do a search for U2 Live In Berlin 2018. Running time should be close to 2.5 hours.
