She's been a great Congresswoman, a Dem in a majority Republican district, and no promising Dems on the horizon to take her House seat unfortunately. Could be a tough reelection bid in 2010, since she's not a known commodity downstate.

you're the best Not surprised to see those most able to make a sacrifice are planning to pass it on to those least able.

I'm with you Loretty. It took me 8 times longer to find a a job than it ever has before, online apps suck, as do corporate HR sites that require you to create a profile, as does the nonresponsiveness/impersonal nature of applying online. Some places don't even bother to acknowledge that you've applied. Or send you a letter 8 weeks later saying 'thanks but no thanks'. I found a great job, but it's only 25 hpw, and I'm appealing to the FSM that it becomes FT soon, before my tiny ship sinks.

I think the world has been anxiously, hopefully, waiting for us to return to our senses.
