  1. UFOs are not real, which is too bad, because I wouldn't mind being abducted and taken to some other planet where things are a lot less fucked.
  2. You people are just wrong, wrong, wrong.
  3. They went "bigtime" decades ago. There were Dunkin Donuts shops in Michigan at least as far back as the '70s.
  4. insideoutoflove and Attack With Love (under a different name) show up as close "neighbors" of mine on Last.fm.
  5. You'd think that a left-wing commie pinko terrorist-loving town like Ann Arbor would have ONE fucking Dunkin Donuts.
  6. I keep reading this thread title as "Scott McClellan's apparent defecation..."
  7. I like Vermin of the Blues. Camper Van Chadbourne is fun too.
  8. I listened to the MySpace songs just now. Wow. I was prepared to be pleasantly surprised, but these are pretty awful. I mean, they're Tom Waits songs, so they've got that going for them, but Scarlett is one of the most unexpressive singers I've ever heard. She sounds bored, and the way the songs are arranged, she doesn't display any vocal range whatsoever. She had a chance to really bust loose on "Falling Down" but reworked the melody so she didn't have to. Based on the four selections on MySpace, I can't say I understand where the positive reviews are coming from. I'll be skipping this on
  9. I doubt there was such a show. They're playing in Delaware in August. They would have had to play this alleged show sometime since 5/17 (ten days ago), because there weren't any gaps in the schedule before then that were long enough to have gotten to Delaware (from west of the Mississippi) and back. Don't believe everything you hear at Pier 1.
  10. Agreed. Makes Schilling seem like less of a prick, for one thing. I had high hopes for Gonzalez when he was with the Cubs, but he disappeared pretty quickly. I hadn't even known he was back in the majors until I saw his name in a Red Sox box score in 2005.
  11. This Is All I Came To Do - Dinosaur Jr.
  12. Um ... why? Their mileage is inferior to many other vehicles the same size.
  13. I haven't seen anything below $4 today, and I've been on the road.
  14. Regardless, I don't think any GM in his right mind brings in Bonds down the stretch.
  15. What positives? The guy hasn't faced live pitching since last fall. He'll be 44 years old in July. His knee is for shit. He's facing a perjury trial. He's a clubhouse cancer. He's a media circus that no one really wants to bring into their clubhouse, especially if they're playing well enough to be in a pennant race. I don't see why anyone would be willing to put up with all the baggage that comes with Bonds if their team is playing well. If a team is not playing well, then maybe he'd sell a few tickets near the end of the season -- but possibly not enough to offset the ridiculous amount you'
  16. My douchebaggery needs no such inducement.
  17. What are you on about, exactly?
