  1. Huh. Looks like I might have gotten tossed for lack of usage or something. Meh. I never really got up and running there anyway.
  2. Just the thing for a lazy Sunday morning.
  3. I had high hopes for Penn State yesterday. Oh well. I also wasn't pleased with the outcomes of Florida-Georgia or South Carolina-Tennessee. Michigan continues to inch upward in the polls, though.
  4. My brother's going tonight. I eagerly await his report.
  5. Hope you've got a turntable and lots of vinyl within easy reach! Vibes for good-as-newness ASAP.
  6. I heard it a fair amount back in high school (20+ years ago). Its use seemed to correspond roughly to socioeconomic status ... i.e., it wasn't the middle/upper class students who talked like that.
  7. That's not wrong. At least in my house. Well, it's better than "finna."
  8. I didn't know how old he was until I saw a documentary on the Monterey Pop Festival and he was in it, because he was there (in 1967).
  9. Who did they drop to open up a roster spot for Him?
  10. Yes, but your previous post was in direct response to one that was referring solely to plural forms. So what's your point, exactly?
  11. We're talking about plurals, not possessives.
  12. Yeah, I thought he was a bit sloppy at the Detroit show, but "horrendous" is a strong word. I guess I'm glad I left before that. Agreed, but it was DLR's best vocal work of the night, oddly enough (in Detroit, anyway). Seriously. Though I hadn't previously known that he could play guitar (not especially well, but he handled the acoustic opening of that song without embarrassing himself).
  13. There are often objections when such a link is the first post from a newbie, but otherwise I doubt anyone has much of a problem with it. Looking forward to hearing this ... I'll check it out when I get home from work.
  14. There's nothing like an eight-day layoff to fuck with a team's momentum.
  15. In this case, I imagine it was only the flaming ones.
  16. Paul has taken a few principled positions on the big issues and that's why he's getting some attention from voters who don't much like anyone else in the race. Unless you're a staunch social conservative, however, he is not someone you'll want to vote for. (My opinion, naturally, but his positions on the issues bear me out.)
  17. Campus cops cleared of wrongdoing after investigation.
