His first two years, with Willingham's recruits, Weis went 9-3 and 10-2. He's now 1-8 with mostly his own recruits. Yeah, Willingham's last full recruiting class (incoming 2004) wasn't great, but I'm not sure I see your point here. ND does have the current #1 recruiting class for 2008 according to scout.com, however. We'll see if Weis can do anything with those kids. Or maybe we won't, considering how the Irish faithful like to run underperforming coaches out of town. That wasn't me, but yeah, especially on that album. There's a lot of great stuff on FADT ... I can't say I've picked out a favorite, but now that you mention it, "Bird In Hand" and "Cincinnati Motel" are really fecking good. I also love "Free to Go," and ... well, most of that record, actually.

Whoever wrote that on the cover is an idiot. As for the Eagles connection, those guys all hung out together back in the day. Browne co-wrote "Take It Easy" and his version appears on For Everyman. I was raised on Jackson Browne ... he's an old favorite.

No. I just do not enjoy the basketball stylings of Mr. Kobe Bryant. I mean, damn, douchebag, let someone else shoot once in a while. My interest in the NBA has waned considerably in recent years anyway, to the point where I track the progress of the Bulls and that's about it. If they bring Kobe in, I won't really have any reason to keep watching, because I will no longer be able to cheer for the Bulls.

Honestly, probably not. I don't like the guy. I'd probably just ignore the NBA for a while until he moved on.

The assumption that the addition of Bryant (coupled with the subtraction of Gordon, Thomas, Noah, et al) automatically turns the Bulls into a title contender is ridiculous. The presence of Bryant does not guarantee a powerhouse team -- see Los Angeles Lakers, 2004-present for proof of that. Bryant's not over the hill yet, but he'll turn 30 next year, and it's reasonable to believe that his best years are either behind him or soon will be. Plus, the addition of Bryant still doesn't address the Bulls' frontcourt issues -- unless they can also scare up a big man who can score in the paint, they
