Odom's starting to make excuses about some sort of flu, Bynum's almost totally shut down and Gasol and Artest don't finish strong enough under the rim, yet i still ike the Lakers to win. I must be crazy!

Wow! Wow to Kobe in the 3rd quarter. Wow to how truly awful Artest has been. Wow to the Celtics shooting percentage. Wow to Jesus being 0-18 from the 3pt line since his record-breaking game. What a strange series this has been. I'm a little shocked that Boston is up, but I still see a 7 game series with a slighter than ever edge still to the Lakers.

you forgot one of the most perfect pop songs ever, "Runaway" by Del Shannon.

Bynum's continued injuries allowed most of what happened last night to happen. If he's still hobbling on Sunday either Lamar or Artest are going to have to step up their offensive games. Kobe was very efficient from the field, as was Gasol, but the Lakers need a consistent third. Even if they loose Sunday I still think Kobe will carry them in back to back wins at home. Can anyone honestly envision a Boston win in a game 7? I guess it goes without saying that game 5 is crucial.

2010 Forecastle Festival louisville, KY
LouisvilleGreg replied to LouisvilleGreg's topic in Someone Else's Song
Smashing Pumpkins and DEVO have been added in recent weeks to a list that already includes loads of good to great bands. Not bad for a festival in my own hometown. http://forecastlefest.com/treasure_map/ -

I'm so all over this! Excellent news! -
It's much more alarming for Boston that Garnett is a non-factor than it is for LA that Odom is a non-factor. I look for the Lakers to win 2 of 3 in Boston.

i think student loan stereo would be a knockout closer. maybe we'll get it at the rare night of the next residency.

there's a famous review of Springsteen's 1980 double album "The River," where the reviewer says that the album has more cars on it than the Indy 500.

he beat louisville and kentucky back to back in the final four to win his last championship in '75, plus i think he was born around here, certainly the all-time greatest.

bummer! he was robbed and that should be overturned.

I've been an incurable archivist for most of my life. I used to do my own weekly top 20 records billboard type chart when I was a kid. I self published a magazine for our neighborhood wrestling division. During my 13 years in Richmond I for a large period of time lived in a house that doubled as a radical community lending library. Taking it as serious as a professional librarian I began a file folder collection. That is to say that I did something very 20th cenrtury, if not 19th century, I clipped newspaper aerticles from the daily paper and 3 weeklies and sorted them accordingly to topic. I

Well I'm sure a lot of fans of the game are bummed by this heavyweight matchup, but I'm not one of them. Boston is peaking and clicking at the right time and the Lakers have been the best overall team all season. And unlike many other people who are scared to say it out loud or partial, let's start acknowledging that Kobe is every bit if not a better closer than Jordan. He hit 4 or 5 of the most ridiculous shots I've ever seen last night. Fading away 20' footers with two guys on him, leaning, tilting, end of shot clock bombs, the guy literally rises to a level that no one else can. If he wins

Blue Velvet was (and probably still is) the most rented film in the history of the Video Fan in Richmond, VA. The Video Fan is the last great independent movie store in Richmond and they always kept a top ten list of all time on the counter and Blue Velvet was #1 from the time I moved there in '96 until last year when I moved. What a twisted fuck he is in that role, also "Out of the Blue." -

Did anyone else read that ABC added those unnecessary and confusing images of 815 at the very end as the creadits rolled? Apparently it was done in an attempt to soften the transition from the emotional ending into the nightly news. Way to fuck with us and the show ABC. In regards to the 15 or so million who watched the last epsiode, I wonder what those numbers would've been if so many people didn't watch the show in groups? I couldn't bare the thought of watching with anyone else, but everyone else I know who is a fan watched with multiple people. Also curious if LOST was your favorite show,

I gotta say that I expected to be disappointed, I really really did, but I feel real satisfied right now. I'm not even scared to admit as a dude that I cried more than once. As for ben remaining outside, it seems fitting. One quick question though. Is it now safe to assume that Walt is the only remaining survivor of 815? My math says so, Everyone who died in the early seasons died, everyone else died when Juliet blew up the bomb, Walt left the island alive and never returned. I'm calling spin-off. EDIT: Lostpedia is crashing right now.

my mom and sister are both mad that I refuse to watch the fianle with them. I'm gonna lock the door, turn the phone off, and give 110% undivided attention. I may even watch the 2 hour recap leading into the finale. That makes a total of 4.5 hours. I really need to get a life.
