Man, the brief glimpse we got of Chrissy calling Tony to wish him a belated happy birthday had me howling after T just hung up on him. It was a funny episode, even with the sense of dread throughout. edit: Just remembered my sign-on name. I think I was watching a lot of season two on dvd when I registered. That episode where Ade signs him up for an 'acting-for-screenwiters' class was hilarious.

I don't know about the officiating being bad, but Lundquist and Raftery were really going overboard with their Gator-love today, and I'm a Gator. I know David Simon has said that he had that entire first-season storyline mapped out in his head when they started filming. I'm not certain, but I wanna say DS didn't start writing season two until after HBO gave the go-ahead for more shows. I've now seen every season except for number three. Weird, I know. Was the Rose Bowl even played? The coverage on most of the ESPN shows has been so minimal. Around the Horn and Pardon the Interruption pretty much made no mention of it. I'm guessing if the results had been the opposite, it would have been the lead story on both shows yesterday.

Does anybody know if ESPN Classic will be able to show a replay of the Fiesta Bowl? I switched it over to something else before all of the great stuff started happening(with like two minutes left!), and I just got sidetracked somehow before a buddy called me like an hour later and said to me, "Dude, please tell me you just saw the end of that game!" I'd really like to see all of that stuff in its entireity. No way the highlights really do it justice.

Man, Ohio State versus USC for the national title. I can almost always find some kind of rooting interest in any type of sporting event that I follow. But this one's gonna be tough. Ohio State, I guess. What a shitty year for college football.

Corso just picked Michigan. They must have tons of extra security for him today. As much as I'd like to root for Michigan, the best-case scenario today for the Gators is Ohio State winning in a blow-out. A narrow win today by UM almost gaurantees a rematch.
