  1. Is anyone going to see Mac and his band at Fitzgerald
  2. I finally heard it. Weir's voice sounded great as well as the rest. It's nice that they are continuing to release these YouTube clips, it definitely perks up my interest with each one. Looking forward to catching a show.
  3. The Dead rehearsing for upcoming tour. (a good thing to see) Unfortunately I am at a computer with no speakers, so I don't know how it sounds.

    LeRoy Bach

    That looks interesting.
  5. Pitchfork pretty much pans it: http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/reco...-on-the-horizon I have not heard it yet. I am planning to pick up tomorrow, though.
  6. It is getting to the point where conservatives are thinking more about ratings; rather than popular and electoral votes.
  7. She will be talking to Kot and DeRo tonight and tomorrow. http://www.soundopinions.org/
  8. Sorry about that, I should have pointed that out. Speaking of Dylan and The Dead, did you see this on etree?
  9. To me Jindal reminded me of Kenneth from 30 Rock, in the way he talked and his mannerism. He did not have much to say.
  10. Park West (a music club) is completely different from what Lounge Ax (a bar that had a stage) was. I'm sure Tweedy made that Lounge Ax statement because it was his wife's club, he played there a shit load of times, and it had recently closed. I don't think he was knocking the Park West. Park West is a great venue, as was Lounge Ax. But it's kinda of an apple and orange thing. You can't really compare the two.
  11. Someone just uploaded this up on etree.
  12. The 20th is up on BT Etree now, also. http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=522841
  13. I don't think it a Sound Opinion's thing. I forgot that IATTBYH was played at the Music Box. (and I went to it). Was that a one day/night thing too?
  14. Seeing Billy and Micky together again, is one of the reasons why I'm kinda looking forward to seeing the Dead.
  15. Got two for 7pm, too. Thanks for finding the link for the tickets, I looked earlier today on the Brown Paper site and did not see it posted.
  16. Some more Sabbath news. Always was a fan of this album.
  17. Well I bit the bullet and bought tickets for the added Allstate (Rosemont) show this morning. I passed on the the first show and ever since I have been kinda kicking myself. Did not want to spend the money unless I got floor tickets and I got lucky with decent tickets. Plus it will be fun taking my wife to the show, since she has never been to a Dead related show.
  18. From www.cimmfest.org CIMMfest is proud to present the Chicago premiere of the new Wilco tour documentary film, Ashes of American Flags on Monday, March 9th at the historic Music Box Theatre in Chicago. Q&A with Director and drummer for Fugazi Breandan Canty. It will nice to see it on the big screen.
  19. Has anyone listened to Baez's latest record Day After Tomorrow? (I have not) Steve Earle produced it. It would have be interesting to be in the studio and listen to not only the music, but them talking politics... http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:aifoxz8kldte
  20. I have never listened to the shows, but the 4/20, 6/12, and 6/13 are part of the below torrent. http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=520767 http://www.thejerrysite.com/shows/years/1974
  21. Pitchfork's 10.0 review. http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/reco...-pauls-boutique
  22. http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=522441 9/20/1970 It is seeding on Bt.etree. A very nice recording. A very great acoustic great, with Grisman (many believe) and Nelson sitting in. Also the electric set is great, esp. Easy Wind. Well worth the download and a listen to those who have not heard it. They also started to seed the whole 1970 year. Now I just to get another hard drive.
  23. Singing a duet with Dylan seems to be always a challenge. I read plenty of interviews with Baez where she states Bob likes changing key in the middle of a song, which can't be fun while you are on stage trying to perform a song. On Desire, it seems Harris is at times is just trying to keep up with Dylan on the vocals. It's, at times, a bit ragged, but it works for me. A few posts back someone mention Desire was an all acoustic guitar album, however a Bellzouki was played an few tracks and it does add to the songs. Of course the acoustic guitar is the most prevalent throughout. http://www

    Nels Cline

I was going to throw you an email with that request. I guess I don't have to now.
