I can't fault going after Syria, after the chemical warfare episode - I am just gravely scared on who is in charge of running this for the U.S.and quite frankly I still can't believe it. This is what I was most afraid off when he won the election and was worrying that he was going to get us killed. Aslo, I see an anti-David Brooks tweet in the near future... https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/07/opinion/the-coming-incompetence-crisis.html a few nuggets:

Yeah - that one was funny. We stayed in Telluride for a few days about 8 years ago. Had a couple of drinks at a bar where they had photos of the show on the wall. Plus, the hotel we stayed at a huge photo in the lobby. A few of the patrons at the bar where living in the town when they played there - great stories. Sounds like it would have been a great time.

Phish rats? never heard of that, either. I do remember patchwork. Never had any, but friends did.

Well we started with Syria - hopefully the administration is able to keep things in check in the aftermath.

Don't get the Donna Phish reference. Cool pants, though, and she does look great.

Think it was Weir that f'd up. They had to restart Truckin, too. Guessing, Garcia stopped it because it was a TV taping. They had stopped tunes and restarted them during actual concerts, too - of course, I forget any examples. Wish they would release this. It did sound great in the theaters.

Well today the White Sox may have already peaked for the year with a 11-2 win over the Tigers. Shields pitched great to boot. Also, nice to hear that Sale had a great opening start.

Everyone seemed to have looked and acted weird during that tour.

I have the show on my hard drive, haven't watch it in a while. Need to rectify that, tonight. That above clip with Baez is what I remember most. Speaking of Baez, I caught her new song about the President. She probably could have worked a little harder on it, but the sentiment is there and it is kind of catchy.

I believe the show above was in Fort Collins, not Boulder. Definitely a great show. The Dylan/Baez duets were shot nicely. How anyone survived that tour is beyond me.

I am sure he was just driving himself to the doctor/pharmacy.... For some reason, I am more interested in what Letterman has to say, anyway. Must admit, I miss the guy.

Brinkley will have complete access to Dylan's archives in Tulsa, too -- him being a historian and a pretty great writer, I hoping for great results.
-
I read the same thing. Also, Douglas Brinkley is writing a book about the period surrounding the Rolling Thunder years.

I just got it today and just started disc 2. I agree with you --- I think it's a song connection for me, too. Sound wise it's great. Enjoy your first show.

Somebody needs to ask Keith Richards his thoughts on the Pepper deluxe package. (har har har)
-
Yeah - the $150 is what stinks about only having the BluRay as part of the Super Deluxe -- which is typical with these sorts of deals/reissues.
-
I would be interested in the below - but, of course, it's only part of the super deluxe. I am assuming at some point they will sell it as a stand alone. I am happy with the mono and stereo release of this record that they put out a bit ago, as part of the box sets. They should include the mono in one of these sets, too. I don't think they ever release it on cd, as a stand alone. I could be wrong about that, though.

Last week, I checked out the 4 disc version from the library. I watched a bit off the Bonus rehearsal stuff last night - it's okay. Chuck definitely plays pretty sloppy throughout. Some of the Berry/Richards interactions are pretty good - not sure how much of it was staged, though. It's was nice to see Robert Cray in the concert/footage -- always has been a fan of him since the early 80s. Actually, I have been on a huge Robert Cray kick for the past two months or so - what a voice that guy has - nice guitar chops, too.
-
Does this mean that you think Keith didn't do good job with movie.
-
Yeah - and I missed it. Decided to take the kids on the quick spring break trip - booked it - and then remembered I had Son Volt tickets. Oh well ---- like my brother (who i was going to go with - a dad of three) said when I called him up to tell he him that I booked a trip with the family ---- 'why the hell did we have kids'. It was a great trip, though. Hopefully a boot pops up.

Yeah - would love to hear a tape of that show.

Kinda surprised to see Rockford, IL on the list. I don't think they ever played Rockford, before.

Yeah - the double JGB CD was my intro JGB - my parents bought it for me for Christmas when it came out. I don't think I even had any JGB boots at the time, so it was all very new to me. I remember thinking how different it sounded from the Dead.
