Does anybody know if the above was brought up in the hearings - just curious to hear what her response was.

My aunt - who is a nun - doesn't even like Pence. Didn't ask who she voted for - but I am pretty certain it wasn't for Trump/Pence. There are definitely one issue Catholics, where any pro-life candidate will suffice, but no one in my family has been like that. Perhaps it's a 'big city' view ---my family are(were) all Chicago south-side Polish and Irish Catholics who came here in the early 1900's. I don't believe in anything anymore (deity wise), though - except three chords and the truth, of course.

Yeah, plus he said the below - so we are all good. (fitting that he said it at the National Prayer Breakfast, too)

Heard on Academy on the radio on the way home from work yesterday - great, great tune. Haven't pulled out their CDs in a long while.
-
Even if I had a record player, I probably will skip this. I wonder if all the below are being reissued - even the Elvin Bishop one. Guessing the 5 song American Beauty EP will not be part of it. Also, It seems that there are a few of repeats - I wonder if they are different versions. I guess it would be cool to have the Touch of Grey/My Brother Esau - I always enjoyed My Brother Esau.

Watched a bunch of U2 DVDs the last week or so -- still think the Boston, Elevation from 2001 is my favorite. Re-watched the Red Rocks - definitely see the early greatness that was to come. Zoo TV show DVD was okay - I enjoy Popmart more, though. Slane Castle wasn't shot all that great, though it was cool was it was in Ireland and the banter was great. 2005, Chicago didn't hold my interest. 360 was shot nicely, but the newer songs didn't do much for me. The Boots songs is kinda of cool.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. Press and others need to keep at it, though.

Hopefully this holds up. Trump v. Press. Nice work by Alter's team.

Wow! Phish announce a 13 show run at MSG for this summer!

Wow indeed. -
Listened to Disk 1 last night - definitely sounds nice. This show will be perfect for road trips with the wife/family - lot's of tunes, without the long meandering jams (I seem to be the only one who enjoys a 35-40 minute Dark Star)
-
A triple record - jeez. Guessing this will clear out all the standard recordings. I probably listened to both the other ones about twice each. I still haven't gotten around to listen to the whole 66 Live set, yet. About at a half way point. Tried to do it in order, but failed. Those Royal Albert shows are pretty great.

according to the 'puter - mine should be in the mail box when I get home.

And the way it's going, they are going to need every penny https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2017/01/30/the-aclu-says-it-got-24-million-in-donations-this-weekend-six-times-its-yearly-average/?utm_term=.4b4d5201e594

Yeah - hoping for tomorrow.

We did the same thing last night.

Yeah - last month our neighborhood meeting had about 8 attendees - two days ago we had about 30 (so far we are meeting monthly). We are focusing on letter writing and calling into our Senate/Congress reps. We are about 100 strong via social media and growing. Start local. Focus local and expand. We are in a strong Democrat area - but that does not matter, still write your congressman, even if they already support your views. Ask them to reach out to moderate Republicans -- ask them to speak out forcefully.
-
I think we need to focus on what he and his people say, as well as what they do. The press needs to question and pressure them at every press conference and interview. Of course it will be exhausting, but what else do have to do, right? https://qz.com/895047/trump-wants-to-turn-the-white-house-into-reality-tv-its-up-to-you-to-change-the-channel/

Like KevinG say - very scary.

Yeah, it was suicide -- horrible. Story below, depressing as hell. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4157864/Allman-Brothers-drummer-Butch-Trucks-shot-head.html

Oakley is really in the high in the mix on the Stonybrook - sounds great. The Ludlow show on the reissue does sound better than the original - but is still doesn't sound that great. I have always enjoyed Ludlow. It seems like the Allmans were always complaining about monitors, like the Dead.
-
45:13 minutes on the reissue. My friend had the original release, so I never gotten around to buy it, since we always listened to it when we were at his place.
-
Weir seemed to be feeling it that night - yikes. Never heard him sound like that.
-
Yes, the reissue has the Ludlow set and Idlewild in 5.1. All the reissues sound great. (Fillmore East / Brothers and Sisters / Idlewild) I do have the Stonybrook show - definitely will be listening to tonight. When suites mentioned the Blue Sky, I remembered the show. Haven't listened to it in awhile.
-
This one -- I think I do have it on my hard drive -- need to check when I get home. S.U.N.Y. at Stonybrook (9/19/71) : Stonybrook, NY

Usually the only good thing that comes out of musician' deaths is the usual flood of torrents that follow --- of course we won't be getting those. Definitely will be playing some Allmans tonight. Last week I listened to Idlewild South reissue, again. (read through some of this thread today - man some people got cranky -- lot's of 'bags of' stuff...)
