Actually, both the AP and the Coaches poll had Missouri ranked ahead of Kansas (they were seven/eight and Missouri was six to Kansas' eight in the final BCS standings) and they still took Kansas. Well until the Big 12 championship game that season OU looked invincible and I remember thinking when I was watching one of their blowout wins in November that this might be the greatest team I've ever seen. Obviously they didn't have a big time running back, they got that with Peterson the year after, but they blew almost everybody out. . At this point as a Mountaineer fan I'd be happy with either. Neither White nor Slaton have particularly set the world on fire this season, mainly because of injuries and the fact that with our schedule they were essentially pulled after three quarters in half of the games, though I have seen Pat White back in the Heisman discussion.
