Is the board not as active as it once was?

I would not dare to puruse the other board while at work. Too much NSFW stuff. -
Can someone please explain the Tweedy "Living Room Shows"?

I agree with Aman's post also. Warner (the taper) made a non-lossy CD of the 3-3-07 show that had all the banter removed. It was great to listen to the songs that way, but really prefer the "whole" thing. It makes a turbulent flight to the west coast bearable Oh, and I apologize in advance for my over-zealous banter -
I would trade a show of rarities played not as well for a show with more familar material that they positively killed. When Wilco is "on" it is a thing of beauty. They have been "on" about 75% of their shows I have seen.

I don't think that playing a "greatest hits" set is playing it safe, I think it's playing it smart. Hopefully they converted a whole bunch of folks to people that no longer say "Wilco who?" -- and just might buy a record or go to see them again on their own.

Yep -- still listening and enjoying greatly.

SLOPPY SECONDS! -
I still laugh at the fabulous lyrics that SR did -- and I always will. Pure comedic genius. It has nothing to do with how I feel about Jay.

I am sorry the young blackhawks didn't win the series, but they will be back.

I guess you don't watch The Daily Show. Obama gets something basically everytime I see it.

Thanks for the info Paul/Brianne! So are they playing BBN similarly to the album, or are they stretching it out at all? I gotta say, I am definitely looking forward to seeing it live (whenever the hell that might be).

Wow -- what shocking news. Really really sad. Condolences to his family and friends, many of them here on this board. Fitting somehow that I got a text tonight about this from the friend that got me to see Wilco live for the first time in '04. I was taking a break from the computer so didn't see the news until now. Godspeed, Jay.

The change in "One Wing" where it begins the overdrive. Holy crap, cannot wait to hear it live -
Here, I'll help you. Link Granted, it's unlikely, but hey, I'm a fan. I am allowed to grasp at straws if I want to.

Well -- I have not given up on the Hawks. I just keep thinking about the Bulls losing the first two games to the Knicks in NY in '93 -- and they pulled it out in six. It can be done.

Heart shaped vibes from me, Donna -
Oh, see, I generally don't go there.... it's the freaking wild wild west in that forum Pics?

Depending on the result of the lawsuit, maybe.

And I'll take Bobby/Dennis Hull, Stan Makita, Tony E, and Keith Magnuson over any of them. Though the style of hockey today seems faster and more precise than I recall it being in the 60s and 70s.
