  2. I'm guessing that picture is from charlie white. He works at my school (USC), and I was a lab technician when he was teaching photography class in my computer lab a few times. He'd odd, but he did do a cool interpol video. He likes doing alien porno pictures:
  3. Dry ice + water inside a water bottle is a great way to get plastic shards in your face, as some of my classmates found out in highschool. these kids were luckier:
  4. Didn't see this mentioned, and i know people were looking forward to this, its up on wilcoworld's roadcase. P.S. there is also a fun picture from lollapalooza on the front of the site.

  9. I know lots of people on here will only buy Physical CDs, and still more people think Bob Dylan is very hit or miss in concert of late, but for those of you who like digital downloads and the prospect of not knowing whether a concert will be great or crappy, iTunes and Mr. Dylan have teamed up: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore...61&s=143441

    blisters!

    "Wife: Sue Miller (lounge owner)"
  11. the guy was being dragged towards the stage in the middle blocked off thing and then to the side. But he was really being dragged, although he had some signs of fight in him left, so either he had fainted and was exhausted or had gotten drunk and was belligerant, but jeff asked if he was ok and then if he wanted a pick.
  12. I am curious to know if anyone from ViaChicago ran into this fellow (me): But anyhow, I would say my Top 5 shows in order were: 1. Wilco 2. Flaming Lips 3. My Morning Jacket 4. Nickel Creek 5. The Shins I didn't do as much push to the front early in the day and wait forever as I usually do, but I was pretty close for Wilco, Shins, and the flaming lips. Wayne Coyne walked over me in his bubble, which was a highlight, and Jeff walked next to me at the blisters set, which was satisfying in a stalker sort of way. Great overall concert, though my legs are still tired, and i should have

    blisters!

I think a bunch of their covers were legitimately very very good. They covered the ramones perfectly, and dear prudence was great. However, I was looking forward to "She Don't Use Jelly", and I would say their voices arent ready to do that song yet. At any rate, they were great.
  14. no one around me was singing along with new songs. I felt cool.
  15. Because calling the song the wrong name seemed more plausible than suggesting that wilco would actually be played on the radio.
  16. I thought it was this guy: the Rolling Stone critic from IATTBYH not this guy: Beatle Bob sort of understandable?
  17. yeah i saw that, and he was dancing behind the santas during the flaming lips. And he announced sonic youth coming on. It was nice to see Thax Douglas read for the flaming lips though, I havent seen him in a while.
  18. You are 100% correct, he just looked like someone from I Am trying to break your heart and I assumed it was Greg Kot, but yeah, it was bob.
  19. I am pleased that Ryan Adams made a Dr. Who joke. His set was fun, but nowhere near as good as my morning jacket.
  20. yeah i saw them they were very fun, they also played Blitzkrieg Bop by the Ramones, Dear Prudence by the Beatles, Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd and some original tunes. Jeff, Sue, and Sam were all out in the audience. (Jeff walked over my legs to get to his chair!!). Also, Glenn Kotche was backstage watching. The only negative thing i would say about it was Gregg Kot, the music critic guy, was to the left of the stage and dancing very oddly and drawing attention (at least mine) to himself away from the band, so that was weird. But the kids were great, and they got a decent crowd to

  22. Jews having horns is just like a genetic thing, right? Some sort of recessive gene that keeps getting passed down through those people I think I heard in school.
