  1. fuck facebook, yes I said it
  2. ANDREW BIRD. I do like the Elvis Perkins I have heard, or just go with some neutral milk hotel if you have not picked that one up. And that M ward he's on to something might want to pick that one up
  3. sit down, relax and listen to the golden sounds of your turntable play...
  4. OCMS is amazing, I did an interview with kutch th elead singer and it was really good, interesting character to say the least. He is a top notch songwriter to boot. G
  5. i've been showing this to everyone lately, I can't get enough Andrew Bird and this makes me psyched for the new album, especially with such a simple catchy little ditty
  6. I was in the farthest back row on the balcony and everyone up there including myself was rapt with attention, what a performer. I'll I have to say after that is "Patient with me" and "Cars Can't Escape"
  7. This was such a good show, i wish MMJ could have rocked longer. I don't remember there being a poster for this show which is wierd cause there are ones of the shows around it, but thats what I remember from the time. The security was harsh but I snuck up close, I wonder if you can see me in that pic. PS its definitly in Boston not cambridge or anywhere else for that matter.
  8. old Slip is really good, its not as jammy as one owuld call it. Its more of alternative expansive soundscapes, they were good when I saw them at lupos a couple times but this past year I have been dissapointed, they were out of it when I saw them open for mmj in DC. But the old stuff has something great, they play as one big working machine. I suggest live at Lupo's Heart Break Hotel to hear some of this. I can put up a YSI of one of their shows if anyone is interested and find time.
  9. Patient w/ me... now thats what I would call an unexpected treat. That tune was my favorite during last fall for reason of a girl and all that
  10. that letters to santa show from 05 has always looked like it has been to die for. As far as bigger shows its the one from the vic in 05 or i really like the Mcabes guitar shop even if it isnt completely solo since Jay played too, http://www.wilcobase.com/event.php?event_key=663
  11. in one of the lounge ax shows from back in the day, the first performance of it if I understand correctly, after a flase start Jeff explains he wrote it ont he way from blockbuster to the venue. and yes sometimes its as simple as you a dollup of dreamwhip and a piece of pecan pie.
  12. the ice cream store I worked at had John's solo stuff playing all the time, I would consider myself a fan but not as big as some people I know. Even his early cracked out albums have special moments. I consider him a hidden gem, more people should know his solo work.
  13. Is anybody catching the Jacket in all their glory and the slip who are hopefully good again. I can't wait to hear those tunes ringing.
  14. this is really cool. the traffic and pink floyd shows are awesome, and it is cool to see a sly and the fam show. The Grateful Dead shows are so choice cool picks to hear.
  15. If you listen to their songwriting it has some great lines. one stand out is "Hurry up and wait, don
  16. I caught them here in Roanoke the other weekend, and it being Roanoke and all they had a great time. THey apologised for rhyming the name of our town with toke. Everyone screamed with approval that they didnt mind one bit. It was great all the kids wanted to dance and a couple old fogies wouldnt have it so security got involved. Finally the band got upset over this and made sure that all the kids could dance. I will put up a you send it of my interview with ketch, the violin player and lead singer, from my radio show if anyone wants it. They were all toether a great show, rocking, great lyrics
  17. when I got the basement tapes they did give me two copies of disc 1. that was wierd to see. The record company actually sent me a package and shipping so I could send it back to them.
  18. 10/30/04 looks like an awesome show, especially if its a really good spiders after this. I would say it looks like a fan favorite for a bunch of really cool tunes. This version of reservations is way to cool to hear.
  19. I feel for radiodread they could have strayed a little farther from the radiohead versions to make them there own, but all in all its solid. You can't really mess up one of the best albums of all time. I have to say this take on "climbing up the walls" is pretty awesome.

    New song mp3

When is this new song from? Is it from the solo show on the 27th? Is it an original or a cover? I like it a ton whatever it is. It reminds me of early chinese apple with the fingerpicking.

    Pink Moon

does anyone have Jeff doing this from the Letters To Santa Living Room Show on 2005-01-29. I know there might not have been a taping of this cause of what kind of show it was, but I really want to hear this cause I remember Jeff saying it was his favorite song, as it is one of mine.
  22. I dont know if anyone else has seen this but hwen you look up "wilco Kicking television" on you tube this video of guys shooting guns in the desert comes up, its not at all what you would expect when you search the title. Well here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_C_PKk6kfI
  23. I am hoping for Roanoke, VA, c'ville wouldnt be bad either except its not right outside my doorstep.
  24. i love it except for can't stand it, and i hate the synth on i'm always in love but adore the solo version. it may be that the synth sounds exactly like the buttons being pressed on the register at work (we found this out somehow)
