  1. even better ryan adams song would be 'please do not let me go' man is that haunting but i will go with sammy's song by David Bromberg is that the saddest story of acceptance i have ever heard
  2. I cant wait to see old crow next weekend down here in Roanoke. Ill be interviewing them too. should be good, and if you guys have any questions let me know. You can listen tuesday and thursdays from 5 -630 on www.wrke.org
  3. its a toss up between not for the season and gun, panthers solo is up there too, but put me down for gun
  4. Kinda off topic, on my radio show I randomnly decide about 3 songs in to do the rest of the show with songs about trains, including 'venus stop the train'
  5. This is the best song of the bunch i think, it doesn't get much better than this. and this comment only comes halfway through listening to it. Its a rocker but its all Wilco and nothing short of great.
  6. I could not agree more. A frat on my fine campus played the doors the End over and over again for 6 hours in a dark basement.

    My Words

i almost forgot this about this one, thanks!
  8. there was a band that played at a bar near my school last year that actually said they were jack johnson meets wilco, funny enough i didnt see them... Jack Johnson comparison just scared me. I can kinda see some of the musical theme being the same as on the beach but we will have to wait for the official new album to make some final decisions.
  9. I fell in love with paul burch after hearing "Isolda" which album should I get to start myself off?
  10. YAY early spiders! and that 2000 wishful thinking is pretty cool and loose.
  11. has anyone seen a trailer for the new Tweedy DVD, I have tried looking and need something to get me all excited about it, not that the pure fact that it is coming out already doesn't
  12. I haven't heard this in awhile, good to hear it again
  13. ill be seeing him in Charlottesville on sept 18th, anyone else? I still need to go out and pick up the new record though
  14. at the end of "butterfly" what song is he talking about? I can't believe someone would flip jeff off at a show.
  15. Kinda stupid, actually really stupid but anyways... my little cousin was watching Lizzie Mcguire and they showed them on the news at the Wilco Theater. So anyone else got random wilco sitings on TV?
  16. alot of people here are probably looking for alot more wilco than is in the documentary
  17. I do agree, quite a good documentary. Its more about the story of woody than anything else, but who cares if its not all 100% Wilco.
  18. i agree get you forgot in people. I used to paint to them all the time, I think they got a new creative sound
  19. jolene is dolly parton cosmic charlie is grateful dead nemo should be umphries mcgee ( cant say I care for them but I somehow know this)

we've been had would be awesome but i doubt we will ever hear that. I agree for pot kettle black and i would like to hear panthers only if it was like the jeff solo version
  21. I caught this show in hartford and the best part was the duos set in the very beggining even though it was only half an hour, phil just kinda bored me and it was funny to hear trey sing jerry parts. Im still not too sure about this trey, mike and the duo badn though also funny cause of the closers, I saw bob weir and he closed withthe whole band sinign attics of my life. best part was string cheese incident at te bob weir show, they took the cake.
  22. to repeat whats been said I think its the best of the new ones. ps who cares if it sounds like "wilco", thats the beauty of this band its always changing. Jeff tweedy is just a great songwriter and he is stretching his legs a little. sounds great
  23. that duet of forget the flowers is nice, I always felt like it was writtten for two and to hear it how it should be is kinda cool. always down to hear alternate takes here too
