I jinxed it! Sorry everyone. Vinyl obviously has some major delays these days. No CD is interesting, seems to me that getting a CD pressed in 2020 isn't much of an issue?? There must be factors I'm not aware of. If there's no physical release for a late October album now, I can't imagine we'll get one in 2020, at least for vinyl. Hopefully this doesn't end up being another Record Store Day release.

EDIT: beaten! So was the title and cover originally leaked by Wilco World or by the web store?? My guess would be the web store, if you look at https://wilcostore.com/collections right now, has a section for "Love is the King" which doesn't go anywhere. Web store also leaked the Ode to Joy album title way in advance, IIRC. It's a leak machine.

That's a fair point, I typically will look at the rundown for who played what (if available... newer Wilco albums don't have as much info for song-by-song, unfortunately) and will look up any weird instruments I'm not familiar with, for instance on At My Window Sad and Lonely I noticed Billy plays a "bouzouki" and off the top of my head I wouldn't have been able to tell you what that is. But in that situation I caught that before we recorded and was able to quickly do some research. I haven't actually been hit with import charges on anything I've bought from the states in AGES, since at least 2018. It's weird, every once in awhile I'll have a period where every record I get will have charges for a few months, then nothing. So I just cross my fingers and hope the mail gods will be good to me!

Interesting that I'll Sing It started as a Summerteeth song, did we know that?? If I was a betting man, I would say that the show from the CD set will get released next year like Live At The Troubadour did which was on the CD version of Being There.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey Bill & Ted Face The Music Previous to this weekend I had only seen bits and pieces of the first two. I know these movies were popular when they came out but I don't think my generation really caught on with them like we have with Back to the Future, Wayne's World, Ferris Bueller, and other movies from that era. Both the first two films have homophobic slurs which obviously, were bad at the time and haven't aged well at all, but also feel needlessly mean and harsh for two films that are otherwise very positive. Hey everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know about a new Wilco podcast, called "Alpha Bravo Charlie: The Alphabetical Wilco" featuring me and my friend Jason, which officially launched today. The goal of the show is to do an episode on every Wilco song, in alphabetical order, A-Z. The Golden Age was great! One of my favourite Beck songs. Sammy's voice was well suited and sounded great in the reverb. Yeah I thought that was interesting too. I wonder if having concerts from "Jeff Tweedy" and "TWEEDY" was confusing more casual listeners. The Jeff Tweedy Band is more to the point.

Cool to hear At A Distance, that's a great song. I think Jeff meant he wanted the Tweedy band to play, so Liam on bass, James Elkington on guitar, and Spencer on drums. Unless I misunderstood?? The drive in show sounds fun, I'd be into going if we could get the border back open, though with the way the US is trending that doesn't sound likely by September.

I've seen a lot of news articles lately about vaccines being developed faster than expected so hopefully it can be fully developed, manufactured, and distributed to the point where a majority of Americans have it by June 2021. But if it doesn't happen, I'm holding every single person who's already booked a hotel room accountable for jinxing it.

Stray thoughts from last night's show: -Save It For Me is a keeper, I can't wait to hear the finished studio version. -Like all of Schmilco, Just Say Goodbye and Nope are underrated songs. It's a great record. -Cool to hear Promising, that's about as deep as a cut as one can get with Jeff's songs, but it's a good one.

I thought it was a bold choice to name the album "Search Results Web Results"!! Nah but in all seriousness, I like the single XMU has played "Isabella", will check out the rest of the record!
