  1. Ok! So! I guess we will not use spoiler tags for an episode that has already aired. Anyways, Sayid coming back from the dead was interesting. One of two things happened. Ben was shot (by Sayid... Sayid was shot by Ben's dad, hm) and taken by Richard to the temple where he "would never be the same", then he becomes the leader of the Others is all sorts of evil. So is Sayid now evil? Is he the leader of The Others? Or did Jacob want him taken to the temple, because he wanted to enter his body like his enemy entered Locke's dead body. That could be why the water was a different colour! Hm!
  2. No one has said anything yet! Why? Perhaps that was a lot to take in and we all had to give it a bit. From Lostpedia...
  3. Ok I've decided on my next three purchases!! Purchase 1: A Fender Blues Deluxe... tube.. tweedy... spring verb! Yes please. Soon after... purchase 2: And then I will save up some money to pay off my car... but then! Purchase 3 a Dynalap lap steel: Does anyone have experience with the airline and/or dynalap?
  4. I try to play every day but to be honest, I can only play when I feel inspired. For the past two years I was rarely inspired but some point last summer something changed, now I usually try to at least pick up my guitar and strum some chords every day. I don't want guitar to ever become a chore to me, even if it makes me a better player.
  5. I actually watched an episode of Jimmy Fallon last night. I thought it was pretty decent. Not as good as Conan or Craig but not bad!
  6. 40s - Dust Bowl Ballads (granted, this is the only album I have from the 40s) 50s - Anthology of American Folk Music 60s - Revolver 70s - Blood on the Tracks 80s - Nebraska 90s - Pinkerton 00s - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
  7. I'd love to get a 8 string lap steel next. But honestly my next purchase has to be an amp. I'm thinking a Fender combo... nothing huge, I'd like to spend around 800 dollars. It has to have spring reverb. I'm thinking a Hot Rod Deluxe might be the best way to go.
  8. Damn, Henrik Sedin is league's leading scorer...
  9. How does that banjo sound going throw a Blues Jr?
  10. I heard something on the radio that not the keeping NA sized ice would have kicked the Canucks out of GM Place for months. What would you have had the Canucks do? They own GM Place, they're not going to allow cement to be cut out, seats to be removed, less tickets sold at the games, just to make the non-NHL players feel better. Nor would they want to be on a multi-month road trip... nor would the NHL allow a team to be at home for the rest of the season. Where else would you have them play? The Pacific Coliseum is no long an NHL venue, and it's being occupied by the Vancouver Giants now (they'
  11. Six more weeks! Are you guys as excited as I am?
  12. So today I ventured into my local music store, looking for a guitar stand. Walked out with this. I wanted to get a Country Gent but buying them used off the internet isn't something I wanted to do and, living in Northern Canada I'd be in tough luck finding one for a decent price. But here this was. It was inexpensive (as for as a Gretsch goes), but certainly doesn't feel or sound inexpensive... plus it's purty too!
  13. The Canucks, on paper, are the best team in the NW. They haven't lived up to expectations though, partly due to a rash of injuries, but also to over confidence. They'll easily beat the Capitals one night and then lose to Carolina the next. They play down to their opponents. However, I think they've learned their lesson at this point. We'll see, they play the last place Oilers tonight. And yes!! Henrik Sedin (as well as his brother Dan) has really stepped it up this year. Even when they're not scoring, 99% of the time they're the most dominate players out on the ice. They'll lead this franch
  14. I always liked his Rejoicing in the Hands and Niño Rojo records but I never really stuck with him after Cripple Crow. However his new stuff does seem like it'd be better live.
  15. Too sad. I was a big fan of Sin City, was looking forward to seeing her in the sequel.
  16. I'm pretty freaking excited for Olympic Hockey. Team Canada will win gold... at home! And the USA, Sweden, and Russia will cry like little babies. Anyways now that I'm done forewarning you guys about my country DESTROYING yours and posting pictures of the two greatest goaltenders, I hope you have fun in Vancouver... I live about 8 hours north east, but Vancouver is where I was born, went to college, visit every summer. I say it's the most beautiful city in North America... but be prepared for some rain. Come back in the summer though!! Are you going to venture up to Whistler? It'
  17. That was pretty good but I'd go with the Live in Japan version.
  18. That's not even the best While My Guitar Gently Weeps solo...
  19. I'd put AGIB and W(TA) far ahead of SBS. I wouldn't even think twice about it (I know!).
  20. That should have said "did you get that on ebay or what?!". I've done some looking around on my own and they're hard to find. Strangely it seems like most people just randomly ran into them. I think a lot of instruments like that get tossed because people don't know what they have... the rest get sold for too much, or at least the easy to find ones do.
  21. I love My Morning Jacket as much as the next guy but... American Dad is like Family Guy without the humour. Hard to watch.
  22. Ugh Tilly and the Wall... ugh...
  23. My favorite record was Josephine. Other ones I enjoyed were Wilco (The Album), Molina and Johnson, and Dark Was The Night. I didn't get to listen to as much music as I should have, unfortunately
